How much honest you would be when your partner passionately cooks you a meal for the first time in the relationship and then ask you about food?

Your girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse may be a novice cook. They may have cooked for the first time in their life with YouTube tutorials. And then they ask you "How is the meal?" and you know just how it is.

So just how much honest will you be with your partner in your food review?

I am watching Business Proposal on Netflix. She insisted him on being honest, like for real. But once he started, she got annoyed and muttered to herself, "He really did not hold back, did he...". It is a really good K-drama. Maybe one of the best.

There's different ways to critique someone. My boyfriend didn't really cook so he's been learning. I don't berate him or tell him his food is terrible. It won't do me nor him any favors that way. I give him pointers with certain things like how to better measure, temperatures, time, how to taste test, etc. When it's done, I'll tell him if it needed a little extra something. My goal is to keep him wanting to learn more, not turn him off of it

I would critique it bt telling him everything hood about it and then i’d mention what he could improve on but let him know im very grateful for the meal

If you hate what she prepared but you tell her that you "loved it," then she will probably cook the same thing for you again. That's not a good idea!

I always tell the truth, but in such a way where they understand that I very much liked it, and give pointers where they can improve.
