My friend is asking me to lie for her. What should I do?

My "friend" is cheating on her boyfriend from back home with this guy from university in our friend group. At the moment, it's only emotional cheating although they've slept in the same bed together. I think her boyfriend from back home suspects she's cheating on him with someone because of her sketchy behaviour and ignoring his texts, and has reached out to all her friends including me to tell him honestly what's going on. He's begged me to tell him if she's cheating and has added me on snap.

My "friend" has hidden her snap location from him, and asked us not to engage/to hide it from him when she's with this other guy. She asked me not to add him back but I feel sorry for him. At the same time, it's none of my business what she's doing. What should I do? Should I lie for her?

As an aside, I did say to her that she obviously doesn't love her boyfriend and she got really offended by my saying that and said she does love him. And now is saying I'm being rude to her. I just feel sorry for this guy though, he has no clue. I think she's wrong for this.

The guy is in that phase where he knows something is going on and simply can't prove it... is starting to look for proof. He just needs proof to have a reason for whatever he'll do in response. You know the truth and it's gotta be sad to observe just how devious, manipulative, and selfish a cheater really is.

My advice to you is to stay out of it. Don't talk to him at all and avoid the topic with her. Personally, I'd be blunt with her and lay down the law that you simply don't know, don't wanna know, and just leave you out of the drama she's creating with her men.

I know a lot of women love drama and gossip but never become involved in other people's relationshits. It's just the #1 fastest way to get both of those people to hate your guts at the same time. I still remember the cop teaching us in criminal justice class, that the number 1 call they hate is the domestic calls... because they'll both turn on you together at a moment's notice.

If you are a liar, you can lie and not feel guilty.

I would not volunteer the information but, if he asks again, I would answer him with an honest response.

U need tell her 2 grow up. Cause its not ur place 2 lie for her. Reason being one lie will lead 2 anther one. Ask her how she would feel if somebody lie about. Once u start lying then its only matter of time it will catch up with u. Its not right for her 2 act one way. Then do another just for pleasure
