Is it really too late, did I lose her for good?

My girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me a couple months ago. I tried doing the right thing. I went to the airport, tried to stop her from catching the plane to another state. She replied with this:

''No, I don't want anything from you. Why now? Why not before when I was waiting all this time?''

She said no to me, still left and got into the plane. I couldn't get her back. I've never gone after someone like that. Is it really too late? Did I lose her for good? Or is there some hope?

Hope? Well, you're both still alive. Depends how dead set she is. Being as she's moved across state lines, I'm guessing you should move on.

Not necessarily. But don't go any further than you already have. Balls in her court now. She can change her mind. But anything else from you at this point and you'll just be embarrassing yourself. Don't give her that.

yeah I don't know what more I can do now; nothing. I already asked her the question at the airport. It was blue sapphire, her favorite. She still declined and left. I'm here whenever she decides to come back. I'm ready at any moment.

She had previously established a timeframe on goals with me and I stupidly fell asleep. I made her wait too much and didn't realize how much time passed so fast. I tried to ask her at the airport. I knew she would angrily reject it but it was an attempt. I wanted her in my life, still want her.

I don't know what to do now. I'm ready for her any time she comes back and says yes to me. I'm ready for her but she left.

I know. I'm still having a hard time moving on. I still keep hoping there is a way to get her back. I keep thinking that if I try harder and she sees I'm changing and working on becoming better, she will say yes if I ask her again. She's going to meet someone else for sure and makes me jealous. I don't want her to walk down the aisle with someone else. I don't want her to have someone else's kids. I can be that man she wanted. Isn't there a way to get her back?

We were going to move elsewhere, get a job raise and propose. Everything has been done except I took too long with the proposing. Stupid me.

It sounds like you lost her for good. If you really love her and you know where she went, jump on a plane and go try to talk to her. Maybe if she sees that you made a real effort she MIGHT take you back

The reality is she'll likely find someone else, form a family with someone else. Just the thought of it makes me jealous, sad. That's the reason I went after her to the airport. I've never gone crazy like that, went after a woman like that before. She still declined.

I know this is just my fantasy but I imagine her coming back, giving me a chance to explain it all again, asking her again and her saying yes to me. I guess that'll never happen.

It's likely she's going to find someone else, have kids with someone else. I can't help it but get sad at that reality. I was ready to give her that (I don't go after someone for no reason, I've never done that before for any woman) but she refused me.

I continue hoping there has to be some way. I made her wait too much and didn't realize time was slipped by so fast. In my final attempt when I turned serious, she declined me and wasn't happy anymore.
Then she's going to likely find her happiness with someone else, have kids with someone not me. I think that's my punishment, seeing what I could've had with her gone.
