Do you completely trust your current SO?

If I had to give my trust for my husband a percentage, I’d give it a good 70%.

Not gonna lie, I go through his phone when he’s not looking. 💀 not proud of it

I am completely trusting of everyone until they give me a reason not to trust them anymore. He’s done some things, said some things, that’s caused me to lose some of that trust.

sometimes I grab his phone just to check the time or change the song that’s playing and he’ll snatch it away…. I don’t like that.

I don’t like talking about it but he has cheated on me before. It was years ago before we were married but still. I didn’t even know about it until relatively recently.

And I know people say “well if you don’t trust them, don’t be with them” like shit, I give that same advice to people.
It’s just so easy to give logical relationship advice when you’re on the outside of it.
when it’s your own relationship, it’s not as easy to listen to logic over emotions.

I don’t want to have to go through his phone to feel secure. I really don’t. I wish I could say that I’m 100% confident that he’s completely truthful, but that’s just not the case. As sad as it is for me to admit.

my trust is also not low enough to the point where I want to leave either.

If he cheats again or if I ever catch him in any other lie, then that’s when it’ll be time to leave

I trust until given a reason not to. But no one will ever get 100% trust. 99% at best and it can only remain stable or declines from there. As for you, you dealt with infidelity in your current relationship. He’d never surpass 50% from there on out for me. I’d always question what if. I couldnt have stayed with him but you do what's best for you. My first boyfriend cheated but we kept breaking up and getting back together. Anyone else after him who ever cheated was dropped then and there. Its just something i no longer tolerate and shouldn't have in the first place

Maybe he snatches it away because you go through it without asking, which is a huge invasion of privacy. I'd gladly let you see whatever you want in my phone, but I walk in the room and you're sneaking through it your stuff will be packed up by the end of the day.

That said, when he cheated, his stuff would have been packed up by the end of the day.

Seems like you two have some unresolved issues to discuss. I'd recommend you do it soon before your misery gets worse, or his does, because either one doesn't end well.

I do. When she's out, she texts me updates about what she's doing and sends pics. Building trust is very important to her so I do the same. We know each others passwords.

If I experienced what you are going through then I wouldn’t trust either. Right now I trust because we are open and talk about everything. Until I have reason not to I’ll trust 100%
