Am I overreacting and overthinking? It just seems like something they would have done together since his ex wife showed him it and they used to watch it together. I’m not in to the show but he is, and he brings it up whenever we run across it.
It's understandable to have some concerns and questions about your boyfriend's relationship with his ex wife and how they used to watch the show together, but it's possible that this is nothing to worry about. He may simply enjoy the show and want to share it with you as a couple, even though it's not one of your favorite shows. If he's respectful about your preferences and doesn't try to force you to watch it, there's no need to overthink this. It doesn't mean he's still attached to his ex or comparing you to anyone; it's just a show he likes.
So you don't want him to watch a tv show, that he's apparently in, because his ex showed it to him? Isn't that a really popular show? I don't know, I don't watch TV, but I've heard that name so it's either really good or really, really bad. If it's good, then I bet a bunch of people watch it. If his ex introduced him to arabic food can he never have hummus again? You're being silly.
Probably just watched it to make her happy. However, makes ya think he's still not over her
