Interesting question. I'm tempted to say Yes and No, depending on the situation:
1. If the woman is not married or in a serious relationship with him and claims the child is his, he has every right to request a DNA test, to either require (or avoid) child support.
2. If he and the woman are married or in a serious relationship, and he has reason to doubt the child is his, a DNA test is reasonable. It's then up to him whether he wants to raise the child with her or not.
3. If he and the woman are married or in a serious relationship, and he has no reason to doubt the child is his, it would be a sign of insecurity (and lack of trust) to request a DNA test.
I wouldn't say "insecure". Insecure implies that he lacks self-confidence and uncertain or doubtful about himself. In such case i would say more like - suspicious. Suspicious about his female partner. Its not about him, its about his female partner.
Yes but it's normal to wonder if it's there's if your not in a committed relationship and other everys occurred before they know they were pregnant

That depends on the circumstances. Paternity fraud is surprisingly common, so we shouldn't begrudge a putative father who asks for one.
If a man asks for a paternity test, he typically has very good reason to be insecure. Most paternity test labs report that about 1/3 of their paternity tests have a ‘negative’ result, which means that of all the "fathers" who take a paternity test, about 32% are not the biological father. That is an indesputeable fact.
No, I think that just makes him a rational person. There are a disturbing amount of stories about men finding out they were raising kids that weren't his. If the woman cares about him, she should want to give him that peice of mind.
They should just be automatic at birth. It doesn't make sense to not verify before putting someone's name on a birth certificate.
I'd have no reason to request a DNA test, because I'm never allowed to have any penetrative sex whatsoever, and I'd want to help raise the child anyway.
It’s not insecure it’s necessary nowadays especially if she is looking for child support.
Lol at the fact that 100% of females said yes. Not if he has got good reason.
that man is smart, shit 40% of of men are taking care of kids that aren't theirs, not talking about stepdads either
See that's one perk about being a woman, you never have to wonder if the child is yours or not.
No. DNA testing of newborns should be mandatory.
He just wants out of child support
Probably
Not if he has good reason
