Do I have any shot with this girl?

So I have a pretty big crush on my friend, she appears to like hanging out with me and consistently expresses interest in hanging out with me more. There was a point when she was flirting with me right after her ex broke up with her where I decided to ask her out on a date, her response was that she really wanted to remain single. It's been a while since then and she's still single. We recently had a hang out where I tested the waters with her, trying to see where she stood on the idea of being in a relationship. She basically said the same thing, she was also sort of dismissive and sarcastic of my attempts to flirt with her so I took that as a sign I should stop.

I think it's pretty obvious to her that I really like her, despite this she's comfortable spending alone time with me and wants to make an effort to see me more because we live quite a distance from each other. So I basically got shot down twice but seemingly for the honest reason that she really doesn't want a relationship with not just me, but anyone in general. I have never heard her express any kind of romantic interest in anyone but it also could be that she just isn't into me.

I really like her a lot and she seems to reciprocate this to some level platonically. Maybe I'm just delusional but could there be any chance of her being open to a relationship with me if she ever were ready for one, or am I just being delusional? It's gonna make me miserable if I don't move on but I can't help but think the effort she makes to set when she lives so far away means something. Im mixed on the decision to finally forget about her.
