Men generally believe that women cheat more but are better at hiding it, and women generally believe men cheat more because we are biologically wired to spread our seed. The reality is, both genders cheat at similar rates, especially today. Women were never known to cheat as often as they are today because cheating came with bigger risks and shame. But today women have the same freedoms as men, and naturally exercise them just as often collectively.

Men are more likely to cheat than women are whenever you look up statistics. Gay male relationships have the highest rates of cheating and lesbian relationships have the lowest. In hetero relationships more men cheat. Not saying women can’t cheat and that there aren’t horrible women out there, it is just statistically more likely to be men. None of the statistics I've seen support your claims, so please list your sources. The statistics that come from verified sources all seem to point towards cheating being about equal. The only flaw in said statistics is that one must be willing to admit they've cheated, and women have more incentive to protect their image. Next, the argument that women have more options is pretty simple. Men, are the pursuers, and women are most often the pursued. It's as simple as that. I think trying to make that argument into anything else is agenda based, which this article isn't intended to be.

In my experience, women my age cheat more than men my age. I've just seen too much of it in my personal life and family to think otherwise. I do think men cheat more as they get older, but in young adults I see it more in women.

The thing I see that bothers me is how people view cheaters differently depending on their gender. Men who cheat are considered selfish and driven by sexual needs, whereas women who cheat are generally viewed as victims of their partners' inability or unwillingness to satisfy their emotional needs, so they put the blame on the man again.

Anyone who cheats is doing it for selfish reasons. It's never justified.

While its certainly true that some men cheat because of a lack of sexual satisfaction with their spouse, I think that is a minority of situations. I've heard from many other men that we can have sex with women we dont like.
