I used to do that, but what I discovered is the more I did, the more they expected. At this point in my life, I'm over that. If they don't see value in me, as I already am, then I'm not interested in having a relationship with them. People need to realize that relationships are two-way streets, not just a giver and a taker. No one is entitled to a bigger piece of the pie. I won't be bled dry again. I'm happier alone than I was when I was settling.
