There are two general groups of women, and they actually are the same women at different times.

One group complain that men don't chase them, and the other complain that men won't take no for an answer. That ambiguity has led to a generation of men who are sick and tired of trying to figure out which one you are.

If a woman plays hard to get, like most of today's men, I'll assume she is not interested and move on.

And I will add that I can't stand women who play childish head games like that anyway, so whether she is not interested in me or she is just playing hard to get, it matters not to me. If she's not interested, fine, I don't want to bother her. If she's playing hard to get, I want nothing to do with her childishness anyway.

With me it's playing "way to hard to get" when you all put it that way. 😔😕😧☹️😭 hard like climbing a mountain like a rock climber just to go the grocery store.

The million dollar question...

Why can't there have been the perfect woman right there passing by wherever I was at the time, then we noticed each other, talk, make friends fast, date, then marry?

Why does it never happen? Why do they act as if you'll find someone, just not me? Oh it's a million things. Why is it so hard to get?

Playing hard to get does not work well. It is playing games. In most games, there is a winner and a loser. You could be the loser.

No, if you are playing.  Don’t play. If you’re genuinely hard to get, be who you are but don’t play too hard to get.

Nope, not with any psychologically healthy partner. It will only work on people who don't respect boundaries. Playing hard to get is telling the person "no." Do you really want to date someone who doesn't accept the answer "no?"

Playing hard to get implies 1 party confessing feelings while the other denies any feelings. If both confessed then its no longer playing hard to get.

In light of that, no, it doesn't work most of the time.

However you will need to describe what it is the person is doing to negate a relationship after aleady confessing for me to say whether or not that sort of thing would work out.

No it doesn't work. You're basically playing games. And any person with self respect will not allow themselves to be victims of these little games, and spend their time trying to find someone who will not play these games with them.

It works on people who like to play. I'm serious about dating and if you are sending mixed signals like acting cold, or flaking on a date, playing games I will tell you that I have to see you at a time I planned and you must show up or we are done and I'll find someone who's more serious about the whole dating. I don't date to date, I date to find the one.

In the initial stages it does work because both of you know you like each other.

If there's confusion or one of you isn't sure about your feelings for the other person then playing such games after a certain point is just them looking to boost their egos off you.

In general, playing with other people's feelings doesn't work well. You have to be sure the man you play with is aware and accepts the game; in other cases, it can end up not exactly as you planned.
