Trending & News No I kept him like family so I wouldn't loose him. I still eventually did, because we grow up and move apart but when ever we see each other we always tell everyone we are cousins even though we aren't related 😂
He could have been the one since he did used to like me early in our friendship when we were kids (tried to kiss me a few times), we both get on really well with each others parents, we had the most fun together I think because we both like to do stupid stuff and go on adventures. He also was always sweet to me and never hurt my feelings its too bad I was scared to tell him, but I suppose I didn't want that rejection since he was a pretty big hoe and never seemed serious lol.
That would all depend on their status. Are they single or with someone? If they're with someone, I wouldn't bother saying anything, especially if they're already happy & treated well (that'd be enough for me). If they're single and I feel like we could be something more and won't run away from it, sure I'll go ahead and tell.
I had a female friend who really was my best friend for a while. She was my roommate's fiancee. They broke up but we remained friends. One night she confessed that she had feelings for me. I never really thought about it. I told her that I loved her but not the way that I was supposed to. She was pretty and actually entered some beauty pageants and we always had fun together. After a while I started to think that maybe we should be more than friends. On night I told her that maybe I was in love with her. She just sort of laughed and it was sort of obvious that she had changed her mind. Things were weird after that. She went to grad school in DC and i never saw her again. . .
Depends. I'm their best friend so I'd presumably know them well enough to know whether I'm their type or not, and whether interactions between us have been sufficiently flirty to merit asking them out on a date, and whether or not they're the type of person to be weird about it afterward. I'd just ask them out or not based on that info.
But more in the spirit of the poll I'd say I value good friendships over potential romantic relationships. The homies always have your back after all.
Stepping into the love arena with a best friend? Ah, the classic dilemma! I'm all for honesty in the dance of love. If you're feeling those butterflies, chances are, keeping them caged might just turn your friendship salsa into a solo regret waltz. Sharing your feelings can be like launching a love-rocket - thrilling, yet unpredictable. Be prepared for all outcomes, but remember, some of the most epic love stories started with a simple, "Hey, I think I like you more than just a friend." Just imagine, you could be on the brink of turning that friendship into a dazzling duet. But hey, timing and tact are your best allies here. Read the room, and if it feels right, let your heart lead the way. Who knows? Your best friend might just be waiting for their cue to join you in the spotlight. 😉

No. I didn’t and it was for the best.
Not in such a blatant way. That seems foolish and needlessly inclined towards failure.
I'd just ask her out on a date. This way, she doesn't have to feel the same way towards me just yet. If she even likes me a little bit, she can be like, "Well, why not? Sounds fun!"
Then over the date, women usually got to like me way more. If I started off with some romantic confession, I probably would have scared them away before they even got the chance to start liking me a lot and ultimately loving me.
I'm one of those types who doesn't always make the best early impressions. A lot of women tended to be very iffy about dating me, even my own wife.
Yet I'm much stronger once a woman spends a lot of time with me alone. It was only two times in my life where a woman I dated didn't become an exclusive girlfriend of mine, and one of those two times involved a date with a woman who didn't even speak any language I spoke (that was a disaster).
So I'm usually the type of guy that women warm up to very much over the course of spending time with me, but not the type to make the best first impressions. So for me to make some romantic confession as opposed to casually asking a woman to hang out would be downright dumb.
This is a very common SKILL ISSUE that happens amongst the opposite genders. If your a Female dealing with an attraction of a male and your both friends you clearly have no boundaries set and you cannot control your way of acting. this is where you have to use FEMALE semen retention. male semen retention is when males dont ejaculate for a long period of time so their energy is consumed. female semen retention is when they can still ejaculate but they can still hold/control their sht together. reserve your energy for the right boy ladies.
This is difficult for me to imagine, because getting into that situation would require that I didn't tell them upfront. I've never really gained a romantic interest in someone after the fact, and I'm not one to hide my attraction, so they'd likely know... pretty soon. Much sooner than it would take to form a friendship.
But if I were to somehow end up in that situation, yeah, I'd tell them, ask them out, whatever. The details of how it would happen all depend on the vibe.
I would not have a best or too close of a friend of the opposite gender because it could be a potential problem for future relationships. If she liked me romantically and I didn't like her in that way, she may try to sabotage my future relationships.
It depends. If he was in the relationship I wouldn't. I would just distance myself. If he was single I would consider telling him... but not sure if I would do it... friendship is sacred.
I did, at least once. I met this incredible girl in college and we quickly became best friends but, the better I got to know her, the more I fell in love with her. One day, I asked her to marry me.
Yea and no. I am not really going to hide it though I wouldn't say it unless if asked, and me not really hiding it making it obvious will prompt them to ask if they are bothered.
No because I would be afraid that our relation would change if he doesn't feel the same and if he does I would be afraid it doesn't work between us
I would figure out how to tell them. But my motto is, nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's hard to move out of the friend zone.
I don't do the friend-zone thing, if I were to hang out with a woman socially it would be for the sole purpose of sex or romance. If she tried to put me in the friend-zone I would just ghost her.
Absolutely. Chances are they probably like you back or they don't. But it's better to tell them because either way you might end up getting hurt when they actually get a partner and the relationship will just be ruined.
Wouldn’t you be scared that the friendship might be damaged if they don’t see you in the same way? Especially if you’ve been friends for a long time?
The thing is, either you suppress the feeling or try to fight it (which won't end well) or you confront the feeling and confess it to your best friend.
The relationship is damaged either way because now romantic feelings are involved but they really need to know...
Telling them your feelings doesn't necessarily mean that the relationship will end if the feeling isn't mutual maybe more boundaries should be put in place so you won't end up hurt
Might make things awkward, I’d probably wait until they ask or something.
My best friends already know that I love them.
Well if I liked them back I'd say I feel the same way
Of course you have to be honest with the other and makes no sense to remain friends if you like the other.
I liked her from the start, we became really close and then we made it official.
Will never happen. We've been best friends since my fourth birthday and we are virtual siblings.
Only if I knew or had good reason to believe they felt the same, then yes. Otherwise NO! It will ruin your friendship.
I have and we are together now.
Yes, if I was single and they were single
Yes. There's no time to waste.
Probably not it almost always ends badly.
