How can an absent father affect a girl in her relationships?

I just got out of a very tumultuous relationship with a woman. She had a very rocky relationship with her father as a child and he was absent both physically, emotionally as well.

In her first relationship, she had a rocky relationship with her first boyfriend because she expected him to do all the things that a father would have. Because he cheated on her, this only added to her list of trauma. I was her 2nd boyfriend. She never trusted me fully, was always very combative and non-trusting of men, and was essentially a man-hater. She eventually broke up with me because I wasn't able to buy her an expensive enough gift for her birthday. What effects can an absent father have on a woman, if anyone has experienced it or gone through the same thing?

everyone reacts to trauma differently like symptoms can be similar sure, but your choices are gonna be different

i think if a girl ever puts her issues on you then walk away if she keeps doing it and im sayin that bc i got issues from my parents lol like it's something im learning to stop

I went from dating someone with an alcoholic father who was never around much to marrying a daddy's girl. There is such a difference in how they are around men. So many girls out there should be in therapy.

Never date a woman who doesn't have a solid relationship with her father. Trust me on this. Just don't.

They have a precieved idea about how a man should take care of their woman. And a father is the first man to do that for his princess.
