Do you care if a guy is much passionate about cooking?

I like cooking very much and have a natural talent for it. As both of my parents worked, they used to drop me off at my grandmother's when I was little. I watched her cooking from scratch and was very fond of it. As years passed by I did practice from time to time and eventually learned complex recipes.

Later it turned into a hobby and I dug up recipes, even ancient ones. I know and can cook old recipes from Britain, France, Italy, Sweden, and Switzerland that I am pretty sure almost none know about anymore. So I care about those cooking processes, ingredients, utensils...

However, even though people like the food, they are not always fond of guys liking cooking that much. Male friends and family call it girly and tease me from time to time... I have known several girls who liked the stuff they ate but gossiped behind my back or frowned. I guess that's why most men aren't that much interested in cooking.

I don't know if I should hide this from potential dates. None of my guy friends can cook properly yet they always found loving relationships and got married to girls who would happily do it for them. I already never had a girlfriend I don't wanna be seen as less manly.

That's been one of my ultimate game things when I was a bachelor although I just only new how to make like 3 Italian dishes. But served with wine, candlelit tables, it looks like the real deal and most of my dates were too dumb to tell the diff.

But you gotta pull that kind of bachelor macho vibe in my opinion. You can't be sweating all over the place in an apron cooking or too eager.

It's just about vibes at the end of the day. Whether you cook, clean, run a fortune 500 company or truck driver, it's just about how you carry yourself. Don't kiss a woman's ass. Don't act like her servant. Act like her benevolent king.

Also on a lazy day just order like a McD's cheeseburger. But you serve it on a massive silver platter on top and make like a swirly design of ketchup and mustard around it and put it in the microwave for like 30 secs before so that there's steam. Looks fancy.

You gotta slow down a bit in my opinion and do Marco Pierre White. That guy's a total badass. Not Gordon Ramsay in my opinion. Gordon Ramsay is tough but he's loud and abrasive and moves too fast. Marco Pierre White is the real deal with his soul-piercing stare and methodical but still ridiculously efficient way.

That's the way to the ladies in my opinion, ideally absent the gut (although lots of them seem to like dad bods nowadays, so maybe a little bit of a gut is okay).

You pull off that with the commanding presence and gaze and chop onions even halfway that fast while making dinner for a woman at your home over wine and even a slightly nice table and I think you're gonna be removing some panties so creamed and soaked that it's gonna turn you off a bit at the beginning.

I've never really liked him either quite as much as Marco. It's fun to see him yelling at people but his energy is too anxious for my taste. I'm not good enough at cooking to judge his recipes but he just gives a nervous energy to me that I don't think is good for catching girls (although being a Michelin-star chef millionaire who is popular for TV is really, really good for catching girls no matter what).

Yeah, I know a guy who claims to be great at cooking. He posts on social media and brags among friends too. Girls are crazy for him. He's pretty attractive-looking. Once he cooked some items at a friend's party. His food sucked so hard. Turns out he only makes great presentations but the food tastes like crap. Being popular and attractive helps women more than actual cooking skills.

That guy's such a douche! But I think probably he can get almost any girl he wants. That stuff works unfortunately. Probably wouldn't work so well if the average woman was smarter.

Really? I view cooking as an art form and men are allowed to participate in art! The culinary industry is still a male dominated industry, so what are those dumb asses even talking about lol? Just your classic case of terds running their mouths about someone who dares to work hard and is passionate about something. Cooking takes a special “know how” that some people have and some people don’t…that’s gonna set your haters off everyone, cause baby you got it!💥Oh well, What can be done 🤷‍♀️

I think people don't care when men cook in industrial or professional cooking but the story is otherwise in the home. When men cook at home, we pretty often even have to hear sexist jokes. Back in college once a professor invited himself to our house party as he heard about my cooking from my friends. He later told me that I should leave studying physics and open a restaurant (not in a joking way) even though I was one of the best students.

I understand, still feel the same way about it whether he’s practicing his art at the house or getting paid for it at work. I don’t think he’s any less masculine at all? Why would he be? It’s almost as silly as how people will shame a lady for being out in bra and underwear but be totally cool with her wearing a bikini in public? Who makes these rules? Why do we even care lol? Society is weird.

Having a natural talent for cooking is great and how lucky your partner will be. The person I like is also good at cooking, and my wish is to have a partner who can cook. For example, at least when I'm not at home (on a long trip) even though I'm usually the one who cooks, then he can independently cook his own food and not starve which can worry me. Don't care about what other people say, people are strange sometimes.
