Women, do you ever get hit on, despite having a boyfriend/husband? If so, do you lose any respect for the guy that asked?

I know this may sound like a silly question, but the reason I ask this is because I have had thoughts about asking this one woman from my work out who works in a different department than I do. I would never date a direct co-worker, but that's another story. I've talked to her, and I do like talking to her, and I think she has a great sense of humor, plus we're both really into hockey. That's about all I know about her. I have no clue if she has a boyfriend. I want to ask, but I fear her having one, then things potentially being awkward between us if she things negatively of me. I'm more afraid of her losing any respect for me than I am of her saying no if I did ask. I did ask this one former co-worker (also different department) out, since I was told she was single, and she actually did say yes, but nothing happened after that. She never texted me, and she just acted like I never asked. She still respected me afterwards though and things didn't get awkward there. What do you think?
