Is insecurity a turn off?

Sometimes, I have my insecurity moments in my relationship. She is my first real girlfriend at age 29. I am her first serious relationship too. She is 26.

I am a software engineer, have my own place, and gaining financial stability. Although, I often struggle with low self esteem and worry a lot.

I called my girlfriend today and said I wish we both could have grown up together and knew each other when we were young. It bothers me sometimes we don't have that sweet sentiment of saying we grew up together. In addition, I asked her if I was her first love, and she claimed I was but with some uncertainty in her tone of voice and facial expression.

Sometimes I need to remind myself I have made some incredible accomplishments, despite some hurdles and mistakes along the way. I have worked on websites and web apps for multi-billion dollar companies. Some very well known companies too.

Yes. But if she loves you she'll understand and accept it, up to a point. I mean you can't be a blubbering little🐱. I don't care how insecure you are. Everyone has a limit. But any woman that doesn't understand your insecurity and works assuage your fears, she DOESN'T love you! She probably doesn't even value you you. And you're BETTER OFF without her.

So if any woman rejects you because of insecurities (again within reason), she just did you a FAVOR by doing so. Don't even trip about it.

Some people like to take in strays or a project so insecurity would be desirable to them.

Yeah it is. A lot of people are insecure so it makes even simple plans or conversations difficult to maintain.
