There was a brief story about a woman that left her boyfriend of 6 years because it wasn't going anywhere. She was feeling miserable about how he kept stalling, why keep her at just girlfriend, why the promises but not action. She didn't want to remain at perpetual cohabitation anymore.
Then a week later, he came back to apologize and propose. She accepted it but didn't want a wedding yet. He was going to arrange the wedding ASAP but now she thinks that's too soon and is still very hurt to process all that. Now she's the one that wants to take her time. She wants the engagement extended and isn't ready to marry him now.
Isn't she complicated? She wanted him to commit. She wanted to marry him for the longest. She got her proposal already and he was going to accelerate the wedding. Now she doesn't want the wedding. It's already hard to get a proposal. Late is better than never. Less men are into marriage anyway. Shouldn't she be happy already? He already gave her what she wanted. I would already forgive and forget if I was her.
