Jealous of crush's Facebook activity?

i feel like a total creeper...but sometimes I can get jealous over the most meaningless things on Facebook when it comes to this girl I like.

i recently saw that she posted a random song on a guy's wall she just met...and I'm jealous like crazy! I don't know why..do girls get like this too?

Block her, at least a little. Avoid her page.

There's a common argument that you don't friend any girl you're interested in on Facebook; and some of it makes sense.

1) She can see what you're doing, and she may just think you have no life if you're always "logged in."

2) It breeds a level of familiarity that may not be accurate, and often, it seems "stalkerish" to know something that they didn't specifically tell you.

3) It tempts people to constantly respond and be available 24/7, since it's so easy to just quickly write a message.

4) Because so many movements are recorded and things are timed and updated, you know a lot more of your friend's basic movements online. Instead of "Oh, I didn't get your email" it's... "You got my Facebook message, you jerk; I know you did... and you're playing Bejeweled Blitz or Words with Friends instead of actually responding back to me." It breeds more frustration than there needs to be.

5) It's too tempting to constantly obsess over updates. The more she posts, the more you some guys obsess. There's enough of that in real life; you're just adding to your obsession.

I'm not suggesting you get rid of Facebook; Go on Facebook, but limit yourself.

Then go out, get new hobbies, improve yourself... Talk to girls in real life. Do something that gets you away from the computer and phone (or at least Facebook). Now hopefully you'll be more distracted, and that will probably give you better perspective.

Girls get like this, but for different reasons. Most guys get like this because they want the girl. Most girls get like this because they want attention from the guy even though they didn't want him at first and probably still don't.

You need to STOP this and move on. Go out and meet other girls. She is obviously enjoying herself with other guys. Putting yourself out there and telling her your feelings will get you nowhere because girls don't respond to that by getting with you. Erase her off Facebook, stop looking at her page, get up get out and meet other girls.

Yeah I think all people that really care get jealous of that stuff. I hate to tourture myself with looking at this guys Facebook cause this girl posts pictures and crap all the time with the two of them or whatever and its so annoying cause I know he isn't that type of guy that posts anything really. I get so upset every time I see something new cause it just seems the posts gets worse and more pointless. Its just sad when the people we like have all this Facebook business that we dont. I don't think its gender specific... I think it's person specific. I never get jealous, and I've been told this means I don't care about people and all sorts of things but I think its just my outlook on things. I feel like if you're a jealous person to start with, Facebook just gives you more excuses to be jealous.

I'm currently trying my hardest to avoid my guy's Facebook page because looking at it makes me sad, partly because him and other girls are always interacting, and partly because I don't think he likes me as more than a friend. I feel your pain, buddy. Trust me, you're not alone. :-)

I do, but I try to avoid his Facebook page because including my self he has a lot of lady friends. Despite that he doesn't have much going on, I just don't want to feel like I'm fb stalking him. He's also a swimmer so he has a fair amount of shirtless speedo pictures, I'd feel like such a creeper. Then again Facebook makes me feel like a stalker looking at anybody's page.

Yup...like if some girl I don't know keep reappearing in photos with him I internally get all: "Who is this b*tch!?" and angsty until I figure the situation out.

Even though there's a good chance I'd get along with whomever she is in real life just based on mutual friends.

third, you should talk to her in person if you can, before lookin at what she's postin on fb.

and forth, there's a new statistic that shows that people seem happier on their fb than they really are. reason for this is that fb makes it look like the person is having a blast at the mall, even tho that post or picture was based on one small moment of excitement.

I get like this, too. That's one reason I keep them as friends sometimes. It makes me numb to it. As long as my right brain keeps telling my left brain "there's no reason to actually care", my left brain gets the hint. (Or whichever hemispheres.)

I actually stopped going on Facebook because I'd always find myself going to his page and seeing him flirt with different girls, and now his girlfriend. It hurts too much, so I never get on Facebook.
