How I understand the honey in the bible - Christian talk

I spent years trying to figure out what honey was a symbol of

I finally concluded it is a symbol for pleasure

The bible says if you eat too much honey you will vomit

Meaning if you experience too much pleasure - you will suffer hardship and difficulty that far exceeds the pleasure you received

It talks about God bringing you into a land of milk and honey

Meaning you will live a life where you are able to experience both pleasure and nourishment

It also says the lips of an adulteress drip honey meaning the adulteress flatters you and yet in the end she is as bitter as gall meaning the pain she causes you will be sharper than a double edged sword - either through hell or through you getting a disease or through you being cheated on or abandoned in old age
