When Jesus was on the cross he was thirsty after 3 days of dehydration and requested water

A man who did not respect him offered him vinegar mixed with wine attached to a sponge

And when Jesus discovered the drink was not regular water he refused to drink it

The drink is a symbol for love

The vinegar is a sign for toxic love

The softness of the sponge shows us how easily accessible toxic love is for those who are in the depths of despair

The fact the toxic love is mixed with the wine of cynicism and stubbornness shows us how unchangeable some toxic characters are

When Jesus chose death by thirst over toxic human care he was showing us that even when people are dying of loneliness people should choose isolation and desperation over the material foundation of a familiar and toxic relationship

Better to be alone than to be in bad company

At the very least, loneliness cannot corrupt or defile you

Which brings me to the compass image

If you want a good relationship, you have to be patient and reject the bad ones

If you want a good tenant you have to reject the bad ones

If you want a good job you have to avoid working the ones that will not build or sustain your career

And if you want high quality friends, you have to reject the bad one

If you want the good gift, you have to be patient and reject the bad ones that are offered to you first

Have the courage to believe in your dreams and to live as if your vision is reality

Sacrifice for the Hope in your mind and not for the pleasure in your immediate body

That is the key to long term happiness

And the antidote to bad relationships

Quite a good point you've put here. Many people are unable to shake off toxic people and relationships and they keep getting battered and worn down in life because they didn't realise that they could get rid of the toxicity and go on to better things.

What you're doing is something we should all avoid.

The first thing you're doing is reading into the text. You're making the text say more than it is actually saying

The second thing you're doing is not doing enough research, or are being confused on your research. The four Gospels, four different authors. Just because one author chooses not to include something, or in this case to include something, doesn't make the story false. Each author has their own story to tell, so it isn't wrong, it's just different.

Earlier in Mark, 15:23 Jesus rejects a different kind of wine. Mark 15:36 Jesus is offered wine but you are not told why, but we see that Jesus takes the drink

In the book of Luke, it's not even included, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen

In the book of Matthew, 27:48, like Mark, is given a drink but we're not told why

In the book of John, 19:28-30, in verse 19 says that it is fulfilling Scripture. The cross reference to this is Psalm 69:21. This passage is the clearest, telling that he received it.
The phrase "had received" literally means to drink. If you don't trust me then do the word study yourself at Bible Hub or Blue Letter Bible.

Also Jesus was on the cross, receiving the drink would help him say his last words since his mouth would be dry.

In the meantime, try to find the truth of the passage and not read into it.

What is the name of the God father of jesus?

Are angels children of God?

I am really confused so if lucifer /samael the fallen angel is child of God then Jesus and Lucifer are Basically brothers right?

Angels are spiritual beings who add a certain flavour of presence to the spiritual or emotional realms - the good angels taste like God the bad angels taste like fear and pain and hate

Actually the "vinegar" was Posca, which was a popular drink among the roman lower class.. especially the military where there would have been strict regulation of wine consumption.

It's literally just 4:1 ratio of water and vinegar. Apparently it's really good.

So what do we really learn from this little story?
Jesus was picky af. Dying and thirsty as hell on a cross.. gets offered a refreshing roman drink.. would literally rather die thirsty.

And also that some of the Romans took pity on him, I guess.

The REAL reason for vinegar on a sponge is vinegar was used as a solvent for Medication and not as refreshing drink. Given it's unlikely they'd want to prolong his life it was probably a painkiler or poison in the hope of ending his suffering.
It's more logically to conclude that jesus wouldn't have been thinking clearly at that stage rather than having a message to send.

Lol once I accidently drank half bottle vineger as a child thinking it as water, it burned my stomach and chest lol didn't feel like painkiller but pain bringer 😂
