What I learned from studying Holocaust Survivor Viktor Frankl

This is a photo of Viktor Frankl, the psychotherapist who invented a new form of psychology once he left the Nazi death camp as a freed prisoner of war.

He said that boredom is caused by a lack of moral fibre and grounding and today I found myself bored because I had no purpose remaining after completing my weekly readings and chores and zoom groups. During the day when I am busy with zoom events or social discourse or conversation I find I forget how unaware I am of my function.

Its not that I am unwilling to serve God but more, that I have not come to a decision what form of serve this role should take. I realize I am passionate about social participation for the outcasts in society and the redemption of troubled adults and also helping those in poor countries address the dietary needs. I also know that I am talented at poetry and creative fiction and could develop that skill into some form of notable media. But I realize that until I am rooted in the knowledge of serving God and growing according to that purpose, that I will continue to be without direction in life. God gave us choices and you can be a cashier or a janitor or even a doctor or computer programmer - the main thing is that God wants you to serve Him and that is the foundation of your life.
