There was an American president in history whose mother used to quote this verse to him every day telling her son, he could be president if he kept the rule of being skillful in his work, the way I understand this verse is if your behaviour, character, conduct, mentality and industriousness are high in quality, than only high quality people will be in your vicinity and only high quality people will be close enough to you to express interest, doesn’t matter if your sick or disabled or ugly or poor, if your behaviour is exceptional, your social and romantic options will be exceptional. That is what this verse says and my friend says she knows super ugly house wives married to good looking guys who earn high amounts of money and nobody has any clue how they did it. I’m not ugly, and do not want to be a house wife, this is just an example.
