What God taught me about self-reliance

I’ve been trying to become an author and one of my biggest struggles as a writer was a lack of guidance. There was nobody I could both trust and depend on for useful advice when I was confronted with questions or gaps in my knowledge and experience base. But if you have ever heard of the rejected stone that becomes the crowning stone, sometimes the lost forerunner becomes the most knowledgeable, experienced and powerful member of all.

I realized, that just like the Jews that the prophets said would receive their answers before their question was even understood, even by themselves, that God began to answer the questions that I originally planned to ask others about, or the questions I asked others and never got a timely response to. Like an apple tree that must grow before it can bear fruit and like the farmer who must sow his seed before he can produce food for his chickens, so sometimes you have to spend time with your bible before God’s Truth is established in your life, but if you continue, you will never need to rely on others for advice, ever again, because the bible says to trust in God and not in man and God will eventually answer all your queries about His kingdom.
