I have been going to church and Christian related meet ups for years. However I have never met an (available) woman I felt physically attracted to at church.
Sure many of the single woman I’ve met had awesome personalities and the fact they were Christian is a big deal to me. But looks have to be at least part of it for me. Not all of it of course but it does matter.
However just today I ran into a friendly attractive woman at church. It was her first time visiting. She was cool and friendly. We got in a good conversation.
I know she’s not married but I’m not sure if she has a boyfriend. After service was done I told her “hey nice to meet you I hope to see you next Sunday”. She said “thanks Joey nice to meet you too”. She remembered my name (which I told her an hour earlier). Not a bad sign.
Anyway both of us are likely going to church to hear God’s word and for spiritual direction. I never went to church just to meet women. I’ve also never started a relationship with someone I met through church before. Not sure how to go about it.
Anyway I didn’t think it was a good idea to ask for her number just meeting her the first time in that particular environment. If I see her next week I plan to continue my conversation. Find out if she’s available and see what her hobbies are. I figure asking for her number (if she’s single) vía the second encounter shouldn’t be too forward.
