Believers, who/what do you believe and how many times have you read your sacred scriptures and how many times have to done your own research?

So many follow family religion by being born and growing up in certain religious family. Have you done your part of research of what you believe is true. How good believer are you.


I read few sacred scriptures of different religions and I still don’t have enough knowledge to decide what is true. The more I’m reading sacred scriptures I’m more become an atheist. But I want to believe a decent thing. I’m still searching for this role model. Im just an innocent. I don’t want to blindly believe something. So I want know.

I mean How many times have you read your own sacred scriptures entirely. If you didn’t read entirely it means you’re missing something and this something might be very important who knows until you didn’t read. It is a god’s word. There is a reason for the whole book to be the whole book. Every passage passage matters. So as a believer how many times have you done that.

Yes I have extensively. The summary is this, all religions are false except the bible. All churches are wrong to various degrees.

Nevertheless you know the truth by its merits or results.

As a believer how good feel you know bible. I mean have you read it entirely. I mean whole book.

Yes, I have read the bible end to end. The results or outcome proves validity.
Something fales will bring results accordingly, something true will likewise bring results according to the truth.

My experience is this: the checkout historically by science and its predictions.

I have seen deamons do supernatural activities and that proves the reast.

I can point you to some sources but the research you'll have to do on your own. Otherwise its not convincing enough.

I am a traditional Catholic. I have not read the Bible in its entirety (though I would certainly like to). However, the object of Catholic belief is not the Bible, though it is of utmost importance. The object is what we call the Eucharist, or the Body and Blood of Christ Himself.

As for research, earlier in the summer, I completed two years of doctrinal formation to become a catechist. In fact, I was consecrated as such by a cardinal who I sincerely hope will be elected as pope after Pope Francis. I already knew a lot of what was covered in the lessons, but it was good to see the sourcing behind it, learn new aspects, and how to think about them.

I am not sure of your point. There are some things in the Bible that are not very clear. The Book of Relevations is mostly understood as being allegorical. Since it is talking about the spiritual reality underlying this material plane.

We don't get it. Because this is where we live. But we don't have to. The most important message is that Christ died for you.

According their understanding and believes they’ve seems miracles, favours happened in their life’s. So I’m not sure what is happening around. I think you are confusing yourself. If you cannot define what the question is, how can you find answers?

Religion is a discipline of faith. Other disciplines claim they use fact. . . but in the end, they don't. They simply tell you to have faith of a different kind.

Yea I’m confused. I’m innocent.

And To all the churches I went to and believers I’ve met, 95% of them have not even read the scripture for the entirety. Also different churches believes differently, and the roots of the scripture again remains same. And all these people are like, they’re programmed or compelled to believe and trust what these churches/families/traditions tells them to believe. Some are catholic/Protestant/Jews/Lutheran/ and there are many more.

My questions is “how a believer believes? Based on what? where do they take these practices from, scripture or from churches? If churches, what church is true.
How are we deciding this church/scripture to be true?”

They say “don’t judge book by it’s cover” so how one individual should know what is true and what is not?
