Do you think that someone's star sign can be used to predict their personality?

I think that people are more likely to exhibit personality traits characteristic of their star sign than people who have a different star sign (Like a scorpio is more likely to be loyal than a virgo). However, this is because the expectation to act in accordance with their star sign will inspire a sizeable fraction of the population to do so (i. e. it's a 'self fulfilling prophecy').

Relationship-wise, no.
I personally think that you can always know what the chart of the signs tells you about the personalities, take the information with a grain of salt. Even when people did lots of research of the zodiac and their personalities (different information from websites).

I'm an Aquarius woman and there are many websites that tells different things about our personality. There are ones that uses accurate vocabulary like "eccentric" and "aloof" (for me). Then there are articles and speculations about January Aquarius and February Aquarius having different personalities as well.
I'm the Aquarius who has been through a lot to the point where you may only experience the apparent negative traits of a February Aquarius.
(Speaking generally) There are people who even go by one-time experiences with an encounter with a sign (or signs) and assume that this sign is this and that sign is that, all because of one person of the zodiac.

I tend to like doing my fair research of a sign, just to have something to keep on mind about the person's zodiac personality traits. I don't like to assume (for example) that Leos and Tauruses are self-centered (I have two siblings who are Tauruses, one has a Leo rising (she is both sides of the same coin) and the other one has a Aires rising and he's a dick, yet he's 12), that Geminis are these borderline people who are fakes, that Scorpios are hard to get along with (experienced this with one. She gave me the feeling that she doesn't want to be involved with me, though she can sense that something is wrong with me because I don't look happy, which is true), that Sagittariuses are fake, and that Aires are hot heads.

N O. No, and it's a ridiculous thing to even use to predict upon. Sometimes i read what these people write about certain signs and i find myself relating to almost all of them. So what does that make me? A saggy aquaries capricorn? Nah. Everyone is different from one another and the only way you can know them is by talking. That's it. Communicate, don't overthink by predicting.

Science has shown that a baby's personality is related to what foods the mother ate while the baby was in the womb. Probably in the old days when there wasn't mass produced food transportation and fridges, the time of year you were born had a huge influence on what foods your mom was eating. That said, the seasons are reversed depending on if you're in the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere. So if it's summer up north it's winter in the south.

So sure, I think there was a time when you could predict a lot by a birth date but that's probably way less true today. I wonder what affect all of the overly processed/modified foods are having on children tho.

I think it is this simple. We have Being which entails soul (intellect if you like), mind (CPU), and Body (outworking of Soul process through mind). We are sophisticated human beings, therefore, the Creature worshipping the creaturely is obviously 🙄 nonsensical and corrupt at the most basic thinking.

No. If that were the case then you would only have to spend time with a person and interact with them and you could figure out their sign. I think it's fun to look into it but certainly not take it seriously. People are not defined by the date they are born.

Nah, not really.

My star sign is cancer.
But I'm not really sensitive, romantic, moody, jealous, etc...

Ig the only thing that may sound like me is the stereotype that cancers are introverts.
Other than that, none of this star sign's traits matches my personality.

I don't believe in zodiac, so my opinion may be biased.

There isn't a shred of evidence published in a peer-reviewed journal that has ever shown that zodiac sign has a bearing on an individual's personality.

The field of human personality is a well-established and studied discipline for centuries. Not even a study has ever shown so-called zodiac signature is a predictor of human personality.

It’s beyond belief why people even use it to make dating decisions. I guess some people are prone to believe in quackery and fakery.

Its hard to tell to be honest, I used to believe in this stuff but now im not sure what to make of it anymore. Im a Leo for example and my biggest sins are lust and pride (Which suit that star-sign) They do mention Leos tend to be out-going and social people but thats not the case for me at all, I can't really stand most people bar a small handful, i'd really rather spend time bonding with my pets

I always found it ridiculous. One day they'll tell you you're this, next day something else. It's all so vague and general info that it can apply to anyone. I dare you to guess my zodiac sign based on my opinions here. You get two tries and you must tell them at the same time. If you failed, my point is proven. If not, I'd love to hear the analysis and why that zodiac stood out.

If there was any validity to astrology, then you should be able to meet a person, spend sometime getting to know them, and then tell them their sign. I have never seen anyone willing to accept that challenge.
