Kinda something I've always noticed when I've listened to or spoke to atheists. They seem to believe me and them are coming at the same questions with the same belief as them.
There's obviously a lot to detail but some common pillars I've noticed
Both believe
- Religious text is always literal
People who consider themselves believers because they accept metaphors as facts, and we have others who classify themselves as atheists because they think religious metaphors are lies. The concept of God from an atheist perspective is essentially a super hero version of a human (for certain extreme ignorant ones).
- Morality is innate
Christians believe God made humans in his image. Atheists typically adopt a Christian theology on morality. Right and wrong exist and are innately known (but some admit morality can be whatever you make it.
- The laws of nature
Christians believe in the supernatural (above nature events, spirit, mind etc). Things are supernatural precisely because they were just that... not part of natural law. E. g the resurrection. Atheists however believe miracles never happened because they are outside of nature (which is precisely the point). One fascinating perspective is the idea that God is subject to the laws of nature whereas Christians uielieve God created the laws of nature
There's a lot more obviously but not going to list them all.

Personally, I've never met an atheist like what you've described. Every atheist I've ever met understands that the bible is a book of metaphors and fables meant to teach a specific code of morality.
Every atheist I've ever met also believe that morality is a man-made concept that can change depending on the culture and that it is better for each individual to have a personal morality as opposed to subscribing to someone else's thoughtlessly.
Atheists don't believe in miracles because there is no verifiable evidence of a miracle having ever occurred (the far more likely explanation for tales of miracles being lies/fictional stories), and atheists choose not to believe things that aren't logical or can not be reasonably proven.
There's a huge difference. Religious belief continues despite contrary evidence. Atheists base their beliefs about the world on objective evidence, and will change their beliefs in the face of new evidence.
Atheists don't that miracles have ever happened because there is no evidence that they have happened. In modern times, many occurrences proclaimed as miracles have turned out to be frauds perpetuated against the credulous faithful.
Lol did you seriously think Christians invented morality? You have a lot of learning to do.
And by the way, atheists don't believe anything as a result of their atheism. Atheism is simply the disbelief in god. You're confusing naturalism with atheism.
