Why go to the doctor? Either god wants you to live through the bad or not. So pray, and don’t screw with his plan by going to the doctor, calling police or fire fighters. Just pray away the flames.

That’s not how prayer works, There a story Christian tell. There was a guy who was in the middle of the flood standing on his roof. He prayer to god to save him. Then a boat appeared and they driver said get in. The man said no God will save me. So he prayed again. A hour later a helicopter flew ahead and dropped a ladder and said hop on. The man said no god will save me. Eventually the man died. In heaven he asked God why didn’t you save me from drowning. Then God said what are you talking about I sent a boat and a helicopter and you didn’t except the help.

the meaning of the story is God gives us tools on how we can live and save ourselves this is why we have doctors and first respondent so that we can rely on those people who God placed in a position where they can help us get over sickness or put out a fire or arrest someone breaking into our homes.

A man goes into an island, tells everyone God will save him, several boats pass by asking him if he needs help to get back to shore. He says no God will save me. Eventually he gives up and gets angry at God for not saving him but wasn't smart to realize that God did offer to save him with the people offering to get back to shore.

If someone prays to be a champion in sports, God expects you to work hard for it too. God expects you to help yourself and put in the effort. Also almost everyone who has ever exist was very weak of faith, it says so in the bible.

Faith is there to help, but you must also help yourself.

So if He gives us all free will, how did He send the boats?

Exodus 7:3-4 says, “But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt, he will not listen to you.

God knows everything that has and will happen and can do anything to make what he wants to happen, which could influence a boats direction or influence what a person does that day, or direction he ends up taking.

God gives you free will but knows your thoughts and what you will do or how you will react and knows how to get you to react a certain way. He knows every possibility to get you to react or think a certain way through free will by his actions.

Some people cannot become believes in him through faith in him by free will no matter what he
would try to influence their free will to get them to believe in him, hence why they go to hell. They decide to reject God by their own free will. God knows he can't get certain people to believe in him no matter what he would try to influence their free will so he doesn't bother to try to save these people as they are beyond being helped. God want people to believe and worship him by their free will.

Oh I’m good. Just helped a guy choking in a restaurant and he said he prayed too as I gave him the heimlich. I asked if god helped and he didn’t have an answer.
