Do you believe God will actually provide you with money if you are dedicated to His teachings?

If my parents pass and I inherit everything, I have money to live on and additional income from rental properties. I won't be filthy rich - but I will have bread and water and a comfortable place to live. That means I will only need a part time job at McDonalds or Burger King cause I will have enough money from the houses I get. I am investing in a writing career and I could either be a millionaire or a flunk without even enough money for a cheese burger at McDonalds from my book sales. The Bible says God gives you what you need and my friends fully believe it - I however, do not see huge loads of money coming in. I am trying to avoid the obvious choice everyone says I should seek which is making money of a religious ministry. I feel cheap if I sell my God for money.

God promises to provide for your needs, He never promises to make you wealthy.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” - Matthew 6:25-26

The Bible does warn us about pursuing wealth

“But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” - 1 Timothy6:9-10

No. But I believe God will never saddle me with more than I can bare. God said "I am the way the truth and the life". But he never said the way would always be easy.

I don't recall ever asking God for money, however I know God will supply you with what you need to get by.
