Is this an omen or a test from God?

One of the countries we want to vacation at requires a visa and we had obstacles that forced us to make 4 trips out to prepare the materials we need for the visa and there are still at least 2 steps left involved in the process, my mom said today that maybe God does not want us to visit that country for some reason and that is why getting the visa has been so hard. I’m the only one who is familiar with every day English in the family and if I help my dad, we a guaranteed to get our visa because our preparation work is beyond excellent but I’m not sure it’s a good idea to visit that country now.

Well... It's not like I'd know that. If that country is in a potential war flashpoint zone, then yeah, it's most likely a warning (or rather simply an intuition-class revelation against going there). Otherwise, it's hard to tell. Is there any particular reason for You to go there? I don't really get that "test from God" option. These tests tend to include extreme situations that are solved in miraculous ways (as they are basically tests of faith), not just some problems with getting a visa, so unless there is no particular, important reason for You to go there, I don't think it's a test of any kind.

A country that makes obtaining an entry visa needlessly complicated, intentionally does not want you there. It is not a supernatural message. It is a reflection of their culture.
