As a 20 year old, I thought God would protect me 100% but now I feel like its 99.999% or 99.98% just because I struggled to obey God at certain points in my life and despite repeated admonitions, some of my behaviours were not fully or properly corrected. It's tough to live if you don't believe you're 100% protected by God. Normal things become scary cause you don't know what will happen to you.
Not exactly. I believe God knows how much you can handle. He'll never give you more than you can handle (even if it doesn't seem that way sometimes). I got hurt at work a couple years. ago. If God always protected everyone I wouldn't have gotten hurt. But I had undiagnosed medical issues that was affecting my overall health. Had I never gotten hurt they never would have been found and treated. So ultimately God was looking out for me. But that accident needed to happen. Because I would never have seen a doctor otherwise. It help me in other ways but I'll end the post here.

Throughout history religiously devout people have failed to get an ounce of protection from God. How many Christians did the Romans throw to the lions? How many monks did the Vikings slaughter?
I think the old Jewish joke says it best. A rabbi is telling god a joke about life at Auschwitz. God says he didn't find it funny, to which the rabbi replies, "I guess you had to be there."God has no obligation to protect you from harm.
No, because he obviously does not. He will in fact cause me harm.
Nope
No, he's not a nanny
