@Lyrem_ God is real 100% that I know. But it depends on your definition. Everybody can't be right about Gods definition. I was taught God is amoral and impersonal. I was taught god is energy and matter. I was taught everything is god and only god exist. And I'm sure others were taught something else but I do know God is real based on the relationship between energy and matter. I was taught God works through natural law. But my definition leads me to be able to say god is real. Everybody's definition does not.
Everybody may not have the same definition of a perfect meal but we all have to eat! I think people who turn to “spirituality” rather than a religion are trying to fulfill a deep seated internal need and don’t want to put in the work, so they default to some plug-and-play belief system to fill the void. It’s the spiritual version of fast-food. Not much value but stops the hunger pangs - kinda.
We'll have to disagree there. I believe religion studies the physical meaning of the Bible and books of God and spirituality studies the psychology meaning like it was intended.
He is real. I used to think he is not real but when I pray I feel like he's listening to me, my problems my struggles. I believe he hears me. I believe that if you have faith in God everything will be possible.
and why is that? It does make sense... do you think you are worthy of being loved and made in that image? Seems as simple as that. it's all Jesus was saying... this world is botched..."I'm going to prepare another place for you", be part of me and I'll take you there. Science is now saying you can create a universe if have enough energy, that two electrons can be bound together (quantum physics). So science is finding how it works. But it's still a leap of faith... and it's all useless unless you have love. Love being the core "energy value" you want. Isn't that right... you just want to be loved?
Sure. If only one could so easily tell christian nationalists to not bring their drama into politics, eh..
To me the idea of "god" is essentially the idea of magic (or miracle - they are the same word to me). As no religion has demonstrated the use or even accurate prediction of magic, I have concluded that if there is a god no religion has correctly guessed its nature. You kind of alluded to that, too, but you seem to be of the mind that you are inadequacy describing your god rather than considering the possibility that you are off the mark by an unfathomable distance.
Oops. Hit reply too early. But an easy example would be - what if it was actually the ancient Greeks that correctly guessed what the gods are like? That would be a huge difference between what is and what you believe. Or what if God is actually a powerless entity with no capabilities whatsoever, in this life or the next? That's far removed from your awe inspired speculation. What if there aren't even words yet for how evil God is? To me, the only way the concept of a God makes any sense is if he eats us. Our souls don't live forever as a result any more than our bodies live forever when worms eat us. That would explain why he is completely indifferent to what happens in life - it would be like a farmer obsessing with what happens inside a seed they are about to bury underground. I actually wrote a story about this..
No one said it just happened … perhaps you may have been taught something of it in school.. Evolution? If your going to attempt to prove the existence of any god your going to have to do better than that. Especially as to day there is no proof that any god exists
Not confused, I'm pretty secure in my belief that there isn't one. If I die and find out all that stuff does exist, that's cool too, it doesn't bother me either way.
Sure because God is everything and imagination can be anything. I am that I am. However, I think God is energy and matter specifically. And we see the laws of god in operation through all that there is.

I'm definitely not confused. I believe he is real through having faith. That's all you can do as a Christian.
@Simslover92 people get confused between Faith and Fact.
Indeed they do.
He’s real period. Our faith isn’t what makes him real.
Amen 🙏

Yes. He is. I found my faith with the application of logic and analysis. It is not confusing at all. God is.
Same but the problem is not everyone has the same definition of God. For if that had the same as you they would have your conviction.

I have 100% zero doubt or confusion about a great and Almighty creator existing.
It's obvious to anyone unless they decide to lie and delude to themselves which isn't illegal to do.

@siri137 I not confused.
because we don't know how time works and about reality, it means we know nothing, so i can't judge on conclusion and decline to it.
best for me is to still believe and keep my trust and hope
I have no doubt God exists and created the heavens and the Earth, but you're right you have to have faith.
" (because they apparently believe theists are all simple-minded and actually believe their caricature)"
Most theists DO believe in that kind of caricature, and you're deluded if you think they don't.
Yes and have to take on faith like you said.
Why is … God is love… so hard to fathom?
It's hard to fathom because it doesn't make any sense.
and why is that? It does make sense...
do you think you are worthy of being loved and made in that image? Seems as simple as that.

Psychic remote viewers have looked into the afterlife and mapped it out. God is not real. https://farsight.org/FarsightPress/Death_Traps_Farsight_Project_main_page.html
Is this a joke?
no psychics are 100% real and used to find oil fields and help crimes. I trust a good one. However many are apparently a scam.
In that sense I'm a bit of a fideist, which means that the concept really has to be accepted on faith alone. You answered your own question.
The christian nationalists on this site are confused, I would say.
Let's not bring politics into this. Okay?
Sure. If only one could so easily tell christian nationalists to not bring their drama into politics, eh..

How am I "off the mark"?
Heh. I can't fathom that, either 😅

“GOD” is Real
Look at creation, look at the human body. Very complex. Did this “ just “ happen? No…..
No one said it just happened … perhaps you may have been taught something of it in school.. Evolution? If your going to attempt to prove the existence of any god your going to have to do better than that. Especially as to day there is no proof that any god exists
@Purpleronnie that’s your opinion, I am not going in-depth here it’s GAG
Not confused, I'm pretty secure in my belief that there isn't one. If I die and find out all that stuff does exist, that's cool too, it doesn't bother me either way.
Every person I've talked to can't prove the existence of a god. The only people who know are dead and I really don't want to talk to any dead people.
you mean they haven't convinced you. but the missionaries did PROVE it to millions as protestant spread the past 20 years.
I have no doubt that there is a Creator.
God is real and is your own wonderful human imagination
Sure because God is everything and imagination can be anything. I am that I am. However, I think God is energy and matter specifically. And we see the laws of god in operation through all that there is.
Not me! I know it's bullshit!! No confusion here at all!
