I died and was brought back 4 months ago.
The signs of its impending arrival that came beforehand were numerous, yet they were all very subtle.
The thought of listing them overwhelms my senses.
I cannot go there at this time.
My apologies to the reader.
My current "state" of being has been greatly altered by those events, so anything thought or said by myself, feels to me to be as if through a very surreal lens.
As I did not continue to be dead, am I qualified to speak on the subject?
I would posit that as I have far more experience at being dead than the vast percentage of people in the world, my opinion, as influenced as it may be, is still simply my own opinion, nothing more or less.
What do you think of that bowl of word salad?
Now, with my bona fides having been established, here is what I've been experiencing in my state of post-death/reanimation:
I've been seeing The Grim Reaper in my peripheral vision ever since I was returned to this dimension.
Always there, waiting for its next chance at me.
That entity has been very close to me numerous times over the last almost-66 years.
Is it angry that I was snatched from its grasp such a short time ago?
I doubt that is the case.
It's simply very close, that's all.
Close enough for me to see.
It's just in the last 4 months that I can actually constantly see the edges of its black form, waiting, waiting, waiting...
I died from a bee sting a few years ago. It's difficult to talk about something that's beyond space and time, isn't it? I learned firsthand what the Bodhisattva vow meant, to be enlightened for the sake of sentient beings. For, there were entities there who loved me and wanted nothing more than to help me. It's a lot different from this place.
@on_my_knees Hello, It is of the utmost interest to me to see your reply.
I understand that most people who've been reanimated have some sort of experience when they're gone.
I've also been told that my situation is a fairly rare one.
I experienced nothing when I was gone.
It was far beyond that which I've experienced as sleep, being knocked unconscious, even anesthesia.
I was GONE, and the journeys back were horrifyingly horrendous to me.
Many extenuating, unfortunate circumstances have occurred since my return, severely exacerbating my post-SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) horror.
Those who haven't gone through it seem to have no idea at all how fundamentally altering it is to one's being.
The loneliness, to me, is excruciatingly painful.
That baffles me, because I'd never been a person to admit to, or to even recognize, loneliness in myself.
Of course, in my new state of awareness, I look back and see that I had been so incredibly lonely all along, but I WOULD NOT allow myself to see that it was so.
I'd be eager to converse with you if you'd care to do the same.
The only thing I can relate to was that, in my initial condition of death, I was surrounded by nothing but fear and primal terror. I told myself that I cannot spend eternity in this way, and that there must be something more. It was at that moment that a light presented itself and I was taken towards it. I'm not sure why you experience nothing. But, based on my experience, all I can say that is if fear and terror are real, then so must be the opposite.
And, for what it's worth, it happens to all of us! Maybe it will help with your loneliness to thing of all of us that are headed in the same direction, I don't know.
I have herd if a flock of crows visits you a dead loved one is watching over you, and if one visits it means positive changes are coming, but what I see in nature is when the crows come its usually to rob a nest of iys youg they do this by one crow distracting and one will usually keep a look out and the 3rd does the dirty work and they come first thing in the morning and if unsucsessfull they try again at dusk they are bad sign in animal world and I have even sceen several diffrent spiecies band together and run the crows off one time i watch several hundred little birds im not sure what breed take to the sky it looked like a giant lava lamp and half of them broke off and run a bald eagle to the point where it was too tired to even fly anymore
The only “omen” I recognize as another person’s death is the sight of a silent ambulance. A few years ago I was just hanging out at home and saw flashing lights through my blinds. I glanced out and saw an ambulance pointed at my neighbor’s house and stepped outside, worried about what could be happening. We had become relatively close, it was a family of 5, 3 girls, one of whom had a unique genetic disease that caused regular seizures. I saw the father carrying that same little girl, only 5 at the time, to the ambulance and into the arms of an EMT. As soon as she was in their hands he broke down into the arms of his wife. His expression of pure grief and heartbreak told me enough to know that she was no longer with us before the EMTs ever arrived. I found out later that she had stopped breathing and they hadn’t been able to resuscitate her. The entire time they had been waiting for the ambulance he had been performing CPR with no change and no sign that she was coming back. She was pronounced dead at the hospital officially. She was their youngest girl, and they considered her a miracle child because they had been told her disease should have killed her as a baby, but instead she lived to be 5 years old with 2 incredibly loving parents and 2 very sweet older sisters. That’s the only time someone has died in my neighborhood that I know of.
There are criminals near our house but I've never heard any violent incidents like screaming or yelling or assault sounds. I think their crime involves non violent things like selling weed or porn etc...

you start to see graffiti on nearby buildings, neighbors are keeping junk cars in their driveway, some of them do not mow their lawns. You begin to see strange people driving around in low riders. and the big tipoff is that property values are going down.
Some very few people seem to be endowed with a very sensitive intuition. When they feel someone is going to die, there is no real omen, but only a vague feeling, which can only be perceived unconsciously with an open and contemplating mind. Well, safe if you're right there in obvious circumstances when someone is badly hurt, during an accident, a terrorist attack, a terminal patient at the hospital, etc.
If birds on the roof, or dogs, coyotes howling. I would have been gone a long time ago!
Usually in my area. An ambulance that isn’t in a hurry. Or the coroner or undertaker at the residence. Is usually an indication that someone might have passed away.

or to your original question.
if you meet black Shuck, then you will be dead within the year.

They are likely to spend more time sleeping, and will often be drowsy even when they are awake. They may also drift in and out of consciousness. Some people become completely unconscious for periods of time before they die - this could be for a short period or as long as several days
In my neighborhood police tape is a sure sign.

they definitely let you know...
there's very clear codes for it... and lettering as well, lol
Usually a squad car, car 99, the ems crew, or in some cases the smell.
It was odd, when my parents passed, at different times it was really windy.
No stops, just a lot of wind
Aside from the dogs howling the number one for me is not birds on the roof but the ambulance parked out side.
I saw a crow (raven?) awkwardly trying to perch on a neighbor's wall mounted external light immediately after answering this question. I've never seen a crow do this before at my building as the lights aren't big.
He was pretty determined to make it work. So I think he might have it in for my neighbor. Should I check on them and see if they need a hearse?
The crow may just be foretelling a blackout as some electrical works are being done today in my locale. I might be over reacting with calling the hearse.
Crows and ravens gathering is a given but cats, dogs and actually a lot of animals can smell it too but for me I will know it's my time when I no longer require sexy time 🫤
I don’t think there are signs. When it’s time, it just happens.
Death smiles at us all, all one can do is smile back!

Unfortunately death does not give a warning in advance!!
A good sign that death is in the neighborhood is that everyone on your block dies.
I'm always a skeleton anyhow lol 🩻🦴 gratefully - so I for one am the Death lol aka the grim reaper merrily lol 👿😈 🐈⬛🖤
"Biden" campaign signs are visible.
Never heard of birds on the roof or the howling dog thing
Wow I don't think about before, I don't kill , I hope everyone good is life
Only if your neighbor has a terminal disease and is very low physically.
When the Turkey vultures circle...
Ambulances with sirens off.
When a bird flies into a window and dies
The corners meat wagon should be a clue.
People dying. And the smell.
Crows
And I love crows
