My dating life doesn’t entirely reflect that yet but as some who is so self critical I know it’s true.

I try online dating to maximise search. I’ll match with some pretty girls but I deserve the best out there. There’s nothing missing in me. I am too lucky to find just a 7. She has to be perfect

Met this girl on a Christian dating app. She only lived 1mile away. She even sent the first message which rarely happens and actually kept th conversation going. We talked for two days off and on. She would go to prayer meets with friends and bible study and therapy. Claimed to have been abused by her ex. Said she stopped being Christian and had sex with him but regretted it and now says that God has forgiven her. She's apparently all about bodily autonomy. Claims to not want kids until after marriage. I honestly don't want kids at all but I told her after marriage because I knew not having kids at all would have been a deal breaker. Long story short, she ends up texting me saying she prayed on it and decided she couldn't trust anyone she met online and that it wouldn't work out between us. I told her I understood but there's still a dull ache. I had asked God if she was the one he held onto for me and to give me a sign. I guess that was the sign. I'm honestly glad though because if being touched triggers her to the point of panic attacks, I don't think it would have been a healthy relationship. Thought Christians weren't supposed to live in fear. Was she a true Christian? Because I don't think she is...

Note: I'm really curious about what the youngsters here will say in this scenario, as we, elders, already knew the pre internet era, its easier for us to imagine.

Why this situation you ask? Maybe because resources would not anymore be as abundant as they were, maybe because heating up all those servers and scripts and AIs 24/7... you know, that's a hell of a lot of energy for such trivial uses! For the sake of pseudo-realism, let's say that a part of the world still operates with internet, maybe banks and govs? But not you, not the general public ! You are back to pre-internet, the 1980's, but better haircuts, and goth crocs !

Seems like very one only wants one thing and you have to guess if they want the same thing or just wasting time.

Listen to my niece rant and she showed my wife and me some talks. Seems like all the guys say the same things or lines in all the texts!
