Ugh, speak for yourself. Half of you women just victimize yourself & wait for somebody to fix your issues. I had no father and saw my mom get hurt by men in many forms. I saw a lot and experienced a lot but I came out a f*cking champion because I had a strong and damn resilient mom who picked up the pieces, did double the work and raised me to be a strong SMART woman too. Toughen up.
Lol "not everyone is as strong" please stop with this. Strength is not something you're born with it something chosen for a select few, it is a resilience you find within yourself and everyone is capable. A belief that no matter what has come your way, you WILL prevail because you will make it so. I think women who think like you do already lost because you counted yourself out to begin with by feeling bad for yourself.
So if I have a bad father , I shouldn't talk about him in front of my boyfriend or he will think I'm slut? It's my first time to know that girls are judged only for having daddy issues, I always thought that most of the sluts have daddy issues so I feel bad for them , but not vice versa!
Yes , This what I tried to say, I'm just shocked that people can think in this way, I have a bad father and sometimes I want to talk to my boyfriend about him , I can't imagine that he may think I'm a slut just because I have daddy issues.
You are blamed for establishing sexual relations with older men to "make up for not having a not-shitty dad" and actually being aware of how weird that is, when you could instead just carry on and have normal relationships.
I mean it is just odd that someone would base their relationships and especially romantic relationships on trying to find a new father figure. Rather than an equal partner.
"""For girls mostly that have an absent dad (emotionally or physically) might be more wanting to date older guys so that they could have a mature man to take care of them and to provide them with love and affection/support"""
@Lisa2521 "Older" in your case would be around, say, 33 or above.
But when you're talking about daddy issues, the "older" typically tends to mean "someone who could even be your father", so if you're 16, that tends to mean someone 34 or above. At 18, around 36 and above. So at 22, that's 40 or above.
So if you'd be interested in like, 40-42 year old men, then yeah, that's "older men". I knew someone who was 18 and had been dating a 42 year old. It's somewhat odd.
That is not even close to what we're talking about here. You are comparing two adults making adult choices (that YOU are butting in on), to an adult making a choice with someone who's brain hasn't yet fully developed. They have nothing in common.
So, you're saying that child is "making a choice" in that relationship? Wow. That's disgusting.
If you give someone something poisonous, when everyone you know knows it's poisonous, but you also know the person you're giving it to may or may not know its poisonous. Does that not make it murder when the person dies?
If you are deceiving someone who's brain is not even capable of functioning to that level of understanding yet, than it is wrong.
It's disgusting that you'd even use that as a terrible metaphor.
@LovelyDisquiet I can't really consider someone an adult if they are looking to be in a romantic relationship with older men to find a proper candidate to be a replacement for her father.

But what about the molester dads? Doesn't that cause daddy issues too?
I wouldn't know.
yes they do
So is the compliment to this true?
Is this where men get mommy issues?
Your mytake reminded me of a book named "the truth of life" ... after i bought it, once i opened it... oh fuck it was a children's book...
what the?
Yeah... u get it?
nope

Not everyone's as strong and smart as you, you're just one of the lucky ones 😊
not every one is strong as you say you are
I gave you an up vote! love your pov.

It isn't something chosen for a select few******
@VampireEmpress thank you! Glad you appreciate the truth ❤️
My father was not a part of my life and I don't have daddy issues.
Well it is technically a "daddy issue" but it doesn't affect you.
I have daddy issues :D
i kno the feel
When I getting older, Be my gf😄
Beautifully said, but too short!
thanks! i preferred to make it short and straight to the point
Or.. we just like older men because we just do (:
I don't get why people think liking older men is due to daddy issues?
People assume it's because you're looking for a father figure but some people like older guys just because they can.
So if I have a bad father , I shouldn't talk about him in front of my boyfriend or he will think I'm slut?
It's my first time to know that girls are judged only for having daddy issues, I always thought that most of the sluts have daddy issues so I feel bad for them , but not vice versa!
not all girl with daddy issues sleep around... some of them are very insecure...
Yes , This what I tried to say, I'm just shocked that people can think in this way, I have a bad father and sometimes I want to talk to my boyfriend about him , I can't imagine that he may think I'm a slut just because I have daddy issues.
Great take... So true as well :/
thanks... and yea know :/
I think the real truth behind daddy issues is "Molestation".
you're wrong! not all people with daddy issues have been molested damn it
You can't make a myTake titled "The truth about daddy issues!" and then start your argument saying "in my opinion". That doesn't make sense.
Did you run out of red pens?
@giggleswilmington Yes, why?
What's the most confusing day in Detroit?
how am i supposed to know?
Lol
(too short)
father's day
So just because your dad isn't dad-of-the-year and you happen to like older men, does that mean you have daddy issues?
I personally wouldn't think that would be the case...
to each their own point of view
I'm not saying either of us is right or wrong but by your definition I have daddy issues 😂
Isn't wanting to date older guys pretty normal though?
Well, you probably won't be able to persuade me into thinking that is normal or healthy, though.
we are not to be blamed for having a shitty dad

Just because someone had a "shitty dad" doesn't mean they have to end up with daddy issues and dating older men and letting themselves be used
sexual relations with older man? tf?
"""For girls mostly that have an absent dad (emotionally or physically) might be more wanting to date older guys so that they could have a mature man to take care of them and to provide them with love and affection/support"""
You said it here
Wait, can someone please tell me what do you mean by "older men" because I'm 22 and I always like men who are older than me (24:28) , is that normal?

Ok, thanks.
How exactly is someone else's dating life bothering you?
Wow! What a dickhead!
@LovelyDisquiet you could say that about pedophiles and the law would argue with you, it is not really our business is it
Are you fucking kidding me? Haha! Seriously?

Nice take 👏
thanks
All strippers have daddy issues.
you seem to be biased because i am not a stripper and most girls who commented on that take are not strippers! so stop generalizing!
You seem a bit confuse:
Let's look at strippers as a subset of girl's who have daddy issues
upload.wikimedia.org/.../...enn_A_subset_B.svg.png
A- girl's who are strippers
B- Girl's who have daddy issues
If you are not a stripper then you are not in set A but are in set B. Your exclusive to set A.
In short girl's who are not strippers fall into the set:
A' ∩ B
