I know the feeling. Truth is everyone is shallow when it comes to looks. Its just human nature. I do think that people at some point have to settle, because very few people are perfect and most of us have imperfections myself included. People are free to have extremly high standards, but they usually end up staying single since very few people can meet them. The few that do meet them, might be taken or they are not interested.

My view is dont ever get in a relationship if you're not 100% into them and already know them as friends. Lots of people just jump at the first person who likes them thinking its meant to be and then blame the entire gender when it doesn't go well.
