Apple is exploiting Chinese workers

I put in many pictures because pictures speak a thousand words. Those pictures are very emotional and the story those pictures are still is heart wrenching. No human being deserves to be treated like a machine to a point he commits suicide because on one hand, he is poor and on the other hand he can't cope with the factory's pressure. The factory has no right to take advantage of somebody's poverty.

Those workers are exploited because they are pressurised to work for 18 hours. They know that if they refuse to work for 18 hours, they will lose their job. The workers are not allowed to say the word no or express their feelings like normal human beings. In fact, the factory expects the workers to feel no pain and no emotions.

Since, when human blood become so cheap and since when paper notes became more important than living breathing human beings. This tells me not every human being on this planet bleeds red. Some should question their humanity and whether the colour of their blood is red, they should focus if they still have a soul or a heart. Just being in shape of a human being doesn't make someone human. To be a human, you have to feel another human's pain, feeling somebody's pain is what makes you a human being.

Well it isn't actually Apple doing this it is Foxconn. Picture yourself as the CEO of Apple for a second. If you start saying you will only work with companies that have fair labor standards Foxconn will partner with another firm that does not have such regulations and Apple would be out of business. It is for the Chinese government to require fair labor standards. I did not enjoy fair labor standards myself as a teacher in China (I was not allowed to punish the students and as a result the little kids often did not respect my personal space).

After the Disintegration of USSR in 1990. Then Chinese President Deng sioping Devised an economic growth model that focussed on primarily exports based economy. The thing is that because of exceptionally cheap labour at that time in 90s in China (their workforce is skilled) all the world's largest Tech companies opened their fabrication centre there. This fueled it's economic growth but after 10 years in 2000s prices of common good items increase so workers also demand to increase their wages. So to remain competitive in market they increase the time of the day. Not only company but the political establishment of China is also responsible. They should make stronger labour laws

this is sad. if i were in that position i'd be grateful for a while then start taking shifts with coworkers of sleeping on the job. it's not like they can't quit or be fired right?

I would think that this sort of worker exploitation is more widespread than we think, since SO MANY things are made in these so-called "third-world" countries, from electronics in China to towels in Pakistan and shorts in Bangladesh. Heck, there are videos on YouTube of guys putting the holes in "designer" jeans at "DIY wash VietNam", so we shouldn't be all that surprised. I'm not condoning it, just saying it's for prevalent than many people thought.

This has been going on for decades, and none of the NGOs who say they're fighting for human rights, do a damn thing about it.
As much as I hate Chinese people, I still think it's pretty fucked up.
But it's not just Chinese who are being exploited.
