Confessions of a Ladies Man: The Clickbait Post

I am known on this website as an Influencer. I have benefited GAG by creating posts and topics of conversation that create intense and controversial debate. With that comes hate. Criticism. Labels. Judgments. Misunderstandings. Still, I think that I have made the site stronger by pushing boundaries. By blurring lines. By breaking molds.

Yes, sometimes controversy can be a good thing for society. Sometimes we can learn something about ourselves and each other. This is my goal.

I refuse to make posts about tired old conventional wisdom.

This was not always the case. When I started on GAG most of my posts were about personal situations. They weren't philosophical. They weren't about cultural norms. And guess what? Nobody read them. Nobody cared. It did NOTHING for this website.

Many people might read this title and be triggered by it "LADIES MAN"? Some might be curious. Some might role their eyes. I have found that most men and women simply by using the title "LADIES MAN" will be predetermined to hate on the content of what is written simply by the title.

BUT...you clicked on it. You read it.

I learned from a marketing standpoint long ago that positive news is a good news. Controversial news? Yep...good news. THat's how Trump got elected.

Sure I can make a post about sexual abuse and title it "A Man's Journey". How many people would read it? How man women would read it? How many people would bother to comment? Basically ZERO. I know this from the past.

But if you titled it "Confessions of a Ladies Man" and make it about sexual abuse. NOW EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT. haha.

My advice to people is to do the same thing with YOUR post. It'd make the site more entertaining. Instead of "Are you a liberal or conservative"...why not post "Are Liberals or Conservatives more corrupt?"

Instead of "Why are men confusing?" make it "Why are all men assholes?"

Is it hyperbolic? Yes.

BUT IT GETS EVERYONE TALKING!
