Here's something new: have pride. I dont give a fuck if you're homeless, have enough pride to make your family believe you're living a successful life.

BELIEVE IN SHAME. Shame is more powerful than love. Shame conquers weakness. Love comforts weakness.

To be better than others requires you to be Unbeatable. No matter if a thousand monkeys come at you, you know you're better than them, you know you deserve the right to put them out of their misery.

You will never ever submit to mediocrity. Because you have true pride.

Expose yourself to true excellence, because remaining ignorant will limit how prideful you can become.

Communism only works when you convince everyone to sacrifice their own happiness for someone else's, and convince the majority to attack anyone who tries to be happy.

We all have the right to strive for greatness and achieve it. Dodgeball isn't bullying, it's real life without the risk of actual punishment.

I can't tell you how much I got attacked for being smart. Even by teachers, and still do to this day. I didn't get it for a long time, but the problem is the people at the top have convinced the masses that anyone who tires to build a tower is a racist.

Meanwhile, they sit in the absolutely outrageous towers they have always had and hire slaves to keep expanding them. Bezos isn't an astronaut. He is Lex Luther in real life, and he's convinced people anyone who tries to be Superman is doing it for their own selfish gains.

If Superman was selfish, he wouldn't have worked at a newspaper and spent his day off saving people and tearing his hair out. He didn't have to do any of that.

But people are actually dumb enough to fall for that shit and call Spiderman a menace. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pride can be good, but this is too much, this is a destructive level of pride. Shame doesn't make you improve, it makes you want to hide, it's hope and determination that make you want to improve.

Have you seen Avatar the last airbender? It's a kids cartoon, but I think it is useful as an example here. In this show there is a young man named Zuko, Zuko is the son of royalty, abused by his father and exiled on a mission in order to reclaim his honor so he may return home. At the start of the show he is an emotional wreck and the main things we understand about him are that he is prideful and simultaneously that he is shameful. It's almost like his pride is a shield against his shame, and simultaneously like his shame is caused by him not living up to his own pride. It feels like a cycle, and it consumes him, eroding his relationships and his own mind until he finally gets everything he thought he wanted and he realizes how fake it all is. He finds friends and family, but they only like him because he is the son of Royalty, he abandoned the people who truly loved him. By the end of the show, he has overcome himself, he has become humble, yet that has not made him weak, in fact, he is one of the wisest and strongest characters. On the other hand, his sister Azula is first introduced as the ultimate in terms of pridefulness, we see her practicing, and then she gets praised for her mastery and near perfection, this near pisses her off instead of making her happy, because she doesn't like being nearly perfect when she could be actually perfect. When she is told that the ocean will not allow her boat to pass, she essentially responds that the captain should be more concerned about her than the will of the tides, and quite blatantly says that she will throw him overboard and let him be smashed against the rocks if he says no to her again. Yet towards the end of the show, we watch as this prideful, perfect little princess is breaking down mentally, she is seeing visions of her mother who is dead, she is becoming delusional as her pride and shame clash with each other, when she is finally beaten and forced to accept her imperfections, instead she just freaks out and starts screaming and crying. This woman who at the start was a nearly perfect being with only a hair out of place? Turns out she was flawed too, perhaps more than anyone else, she just used pride as a way to cover up her shame and emotions, so when that pride is stripped away she just devolved into a shameful and emotional mess.

So why is shame good? Do you deny that shame is self destructive? Do you genuinely think it makes you improve? Because every case I have seen the shame merely leads to people hiding from their insecurities instead of overcoming them. It leads you to bottle things up and feel like you're improving when you really aren't, and then one day you try to bottle something up and it's too much, your bottle is already overflowing and it leads you to falling apart and feeling like shit. Hiding from a problem doesn't resolve it.

I think the answer may be more nuanced though, it's hard to say. I feel like shame might have a place if it is used sparingly, there are situations where shame and guilt are necessary, and small doses of shame can have good effects, but in my view, too much shame will just tear you apart.

Black pride is a perfect example. It was great in the 60's, but when you go from being proud of who you are and the strength that you have to attacking and belittling anyone who doesn't kiss your ass, you aren't just proud anymore. You are insecure and elitist.

Flying is fantastic. But the man who flew too close to the sun burned, fell, and ended up worse off than the man who never flew at all.

That is important to remember and be cautious of, but it is not a reason to let your potential go to waste.

(But to clarify, black pride is still awesome. It's just the way people are framing selfishness, mob violence and segragationism as a good thing and calling it black pride that is a problem. People need to be proud of who they are to be able to face opposition with confidence, but when you become the Instagater of violence and division you are no longer proud of who you are, you are self centered, narcissistic and insecure. Agreed. Shame leads to social adherence and a more reasonable standard being set for the masses. Unfortunately we've given women the opportunity to make all the wrong decisions and still come out ahead with no owned responsibility for their position. In fact we encourage women to act badly by paying them for their bad decisions via tax credits and financial assistance via the government simply for being born with a vagina or having kids out of wedlock.

If we're being honest, for the next 2 or 3 generations women should receive no assistance and men should be paid out based on need. Since women tend to create nothing more more mouths to feed, and tend to be a blackhole of resources and funding. Lets work to make it so that if a woman has a child and needs financial assistance from the government and isn't married, we take the kid and put it in foster care with no opportunity for that mother ever to get the kid back. Foster care requirements beings that either a man with the individual means is the caretaker or a dual parent household. No additional funding, just putting children into homes that can support them and raise them to be reasonable adults, shaming their biological parents for the entirety of their childhood and teenaged years so those kids grow up to be valuable adults.

We'll take that money from the single mothers and instead give it to the childless men so that women will be forced to get married in order to avoid losing their children? at least with divorce laws the women will inevitably leave once their children are adults, but personally I don't like the idea of subjugating women at all.

@devilman666 It's not forcing women back into dependence on men; women are dependent on men for certain things just as men are dependent on women for certain things. We are tribal social animals and as a result we aren't designed to function on our own. Yes women should be dependent on men for certain things and men should be able to provide those things because at a biological level, even the 'independent woman that don't need no man' still looks for those traits and abilities to provide those things for her. You can't rob men of their opportunity to provide those things for men and then bitch about men not being able to provide those things for her.

Do some actual research next time you respond to me. Being the child of a single mother increases your lifetime likelihood of doing time in prison by something in the realm of 800%; there are no statistics that indicate any similarity of outcome from single family households where the father is raising the child in fact, the rates appear to drop but it isn't a big enough pool of examples to be able to make that claim definitively. Women do not instill discipline into their children and as a result end up with problem children that grow into repeat offender adults that continue the same vicious cycle to the next generation.

Sidenote, please provide the reliable study that shows 800% increase in likelihood of doing prison. If you can do that then I will take your suggestion to do research a little more seriously. Yes, I know of this statistic (though it's not nearly as high as you claim) and I'm not arguing for single parent households, I'm just arguing that you're a sexist piece of shit who quite desperately wants to oppress women, and you had no counter argument to that lmao. Another side note, we should teach supposedly independent women to stop bitching about men not providing, instead of trying to force both men and women back into their gender roles just simply because it's what you think is best for yourself. I urge you to think/care about other people and their desires, and if you refuse to do so then don't be surprised when people don't think/care about you and your desires.

@devilman666 Over the course of the last 30 years where women have gained more power in western civilization than any broad group has in history, western civilization has basically collapsed due to a nearly complete void of objectivity as it applies to what can be done and the results of the action being taken. As a result we've lost most of our freedoms, women have issues differentiating between objective reality and subjective ideology, and men have become virtually completely emasculated to the point where most women want men that don't exist but demand traits of women from men in their confusion. There is a direct correlation between female advancement and the decline of western civilization. That said, women [if competent and capable of doing so] should have the same opportunities as men assuming they're held to the exact same standard that you'd hold a man to.

I don't think women should be forced to be dependent on men, but I don't think women should be shamed into being independent since most women don't actually want that life. They want it because they're told to want it and when they pass the wall they realize what they've missed out on. We've fucked up more than one complete generation of men and women with this bullshit social experiment ideology and it needs to stop and there needs to be a return to general traditional gender roles as the norm with exceptions available as necessary. Allow men to work in jobs they want to work in, don't pressure women to go into education to get degrees and education they can't use, don't tell them that the only way to be free is to be independent of men, don't shame them for having families. In short don't shame men for being men, and don't shame women for being women.
