Why there is such a thing as the absolute truth.

Many people say there is no such thing as the whole truth. They say truth is subjective and that there is no absolute truth. But to say there is no such thing as the absolute truth is an absolute statement, which means that there must be such a thing as the absolute truth.

People think there is such a thing as ''your truth'' and ''my truth'' and that's how it always has and will be, however, it is a matter of ones beliefs. Truth rarely changes or goes through a metamorphosis.

The truth cannot change depending on how you feel. It cannot change because of something that happened. It cannot change because someone else doesn't agree. It will always be the same because truth is: the true facts about something, rather than the things that have been invented or guessed.

It's scientific. It's tried, tested, and proven. It's a belief based on evidence. It's the reason we can do the things that we do. It's the reason we can plan certain things out in our life. It's the reason we have a little faith in science. It's the reason we believe in something.

The truth. It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and must therefore be treated with great caution. People will generally accept facts as truth only if the facts agree with what they already believe.

The truth gives us peace. It sets us free. It gives us confidence. It gives us something to live for. It gives us something to die for. No one ever died for something they didn't believe in. A lie isn't worth it. But the truth is worth dying for. That's the reason we have certain freedoms here in America, let's try and keep it that way. Fighting for the truth is a just cause, and the more righteous your fight the more opposition you will face. But continue in that fight because there is such a thing as the truth. And there always will be!

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

What I believe she is trying to say is that most people twisted the truth for their own personal benefits. Instead of just being straightforward and honest. Just remember being truthful and honest is comes from GOD if person wasn’t taught right and was taught to do what ever it takes to be number 1 . Or to be selfish then it’s sad but most people are that way. Doesn’t justify their actions, but they feel if they say it enough times then it must be the truth which is 100% false. They are immature for being dishonest. People need to be more truthful were they are going to be punished or not. If you don’t like how you will be perceived then you shouldn’t be doing it

There has to be an Absolute Standard. If you, me, and the world are here and have autonomy then how do we arrive at an Absolute Truth and oversight. Nations choose Government as both the Absolute and administer of Absolute Truth. Obviously, this is ineffective, given man's depravity (Putin), even though God ordained the use of Government as overseer on God's behalf.
The Absolute Truth is our Creator God as expressed in His Word-Bible and through His Will. His Decretive (secret things of God; Sovereignty... things only He can do like Creation), prescriptive (10 Commandments), permissive Will (permits created to exercise free agency but there is consequences therefrom).

I agree with them and you. You can lay down fact, my story, yours and so on. End of the day if i stand in a room and tell a story everybody in that room will warp it over time. 10 years later whats the "true" story? Even if you record the original play it again today with new context and it sounds different or is taken different. You can argue all sides to death but in the end you can't make an absolute of anything but yet chisle it in stone.

Also, when my fellow Americans start talking about dying for the truth I get worried we are about to “bring democracy” to some poor country by leveling all their infrastructure from 30,000 feet then turning the place into a grift for corporations before abandoning it. High-minded rhetoric about our freedom (which is in fact diminishing rapidly) and democracy the whole time. We’re getting a very nasty reputation because of this.

Science is about discovery, not truth. It can lie, be corrupt or wrong. It is only a knowledge tool among many and not the yardstick or panacea you have made it into. You also dont know jack about philosophy, culture, politics, or interpretation, either.
