First, they Came.
First, they came for the communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.
The Cancel and Wokester cultures have flooded Western society. They are using everything from Lawfare to Government to Courts to Social Media to censor and silence opposing opinions. For the several of you who have blocked me here, you are part of that mind set. It's not just that you disagree with some of my more controversial views and don't want to see them (your choice) it's that you do not want others to read/hear them, either, in case they might want to think them through. That is censorship and is what the US Constitution's First Amendment focuses on.
If you look at recent history (sorry, does anyone actually read history anymore?) , you will see that happening in other places where cultural revolutions took place. Noteworthy are Russia, China, France, Germany and, farther back, Rome. Between them, their Cancel Cultures murdered well over 100 million of their citizens through purges and "ethnic cleansing". But it has happened numerous times in recorded history and resulted in the emergence of the single most important Liberator in history: Jesus of Nazareth.
Do you really think the United States is exempt? What do you think the end goal of Wokism/Cancel Culture is? I think it is assassinations, mass murder, gulags, concentration camps and and lots and lots of blood-letting. Once, for example, if it's opposition succeeded in permanently silencing the Populist/MAGA movements, do you think the ruling classes would stop there? Nope. You will end up on their Disposition Matrix when only you are left.
What if you support some, but not all, of the gender dysphoria movements? What if you are selective on which cultural groups or religions are acceptable while some others are less so? Consider the long list of what if's. Will the ruling classes come for you if you express a view that does not perfectly align with their prescribed (today's) narratives?
Newsflash, These things are happening today. The media, even the censored media, is full of this if you bother to read it. Just as with Neo, in the Matrix, when will The Agents knock at your door? They will when opinions more extreme than yours are already subdued. Then, you will be extreme. At this point, you may think you are aligned with Spectre, but will you be tomorrow? They can never do this enough. They will never stop.
Catholics are the canaries in the coal mine, compliments of weak church leadership. Protestants are on deck and need to keep the stalwart words of Martin Niemöller, a Lutheran pastor and an outspoken critic of Adolf Hitler who spent eight years in a Nazi prison, in mind.
Niemöller penned the distinguished poem above: "First They Came" that still resonates generations later.
But if we just ignore everything that's happening, it will just go away. Won't it?
