How do I politely tell him to stop texting me so much?

I hooked up with a guy at a party recently and now he won't stop texting me. I realise he's just doing it because he likes me and I'm flattered but it still annoys the hell out of me. I hate texting. I hate IMing. You cannot really get to know someone over text and I would prefer not to be constantly checking my phone all day. I've tried to give him the hint by cutting our conversations short, I've even told him I don't like texting, but everyday without fail he'll text me. We have hung out a couple of times in person and I do think he's a nice person, I haven't yet decided if he's boyfriend material or if I even want a boyfriend but I do enjoy his company and don't want to cut it off with him prematurely. So is there a way to tell him that it's not personal, I'd just prefer if he backed off a little on the texting without making him think I'm breaking it off?

You can take control over the times you text him and say something like "I'm gonna be busy this week but I can text you when I am finally free" and end each convo with a random time frame of some sort. This way you still in touch and you get back to him when you want.

You could tell him what you just told us. You'd like to keep hanging out but you jus don't like texting at all and rather see each other in person

What I do is put my phone on silent. At the end of the day call him, don't even text him back. If all you ever do is call, he'll stop texting you and start only calling.

Just say again (until he gets the point) hey I don't like texting, convos in person are more my thing. If he doesn't get the gist, just ignore him.
