Do Lesbians find men attractive?

I know what you're thinking: "what a stupid question, let me ask if striaight guys like men, yeah that be clever".

Well why I'm asking is because my gay friend said he is Gay but he does find some somen attractive. But he prefers Men over Women. I said that would make him Bi but he said that No.
Apparently a lot of gay men find women somewhat attractive even if its a littel.

So I wanted to know if lesbians find men attractive. Some lesbians date men before they realise they're a lesbian so they must have been attracted to men at some point, Right?

Sexuality is not black or white. It's more like a scale. Some people who are closer to one end of the spectrum say they're either straight or gay.

I identify as bisexual and have no preference for any one gender, but I have a friend who actually has a huge preference for girls. She identifies as a lesbian even though she does find some men attractive.

Then there are people who are on the complete end. They are only ever attracted to one gender.

So basically, there are some that do find men attractive and some that don't. The same goes for gay men, straight women, and pretty much any one who identifies as gay or straight.

I think they can aesthetically speaking recognize that a guy is attractive but they're "attracted" to him.

Kind of like, a straight guy knows when another guy is attractive whether or not he wants to admit it.

I mean, there's a difference between finding someone attractive and being attracted to them. Overall, we find symmetrical facial features aesthetically pleasing (ie: attractive). That doesn't mean you want them in any capacity.

For example, I can acknowledge that my close family members are good looking people without it being incestuous.

Lesbians can acknowledge that a guy is attractive. That's like a straight guy being able to look at another one and say 'yeah, he's a good looking guy' but not being able to imagine themselves wanting to have sex with him. They don't find them sexually attractive, but they can admire the way they look.

Well, bisexuals are different to lesbians. Bisexuals will find both men and women attractive. Lesbians will only be attracted to women.

but what if you're a lesbian that finds both men and women attractive just women more so?

Then you're bisexual. I'm bisexual and I'm attracted to both men and women, but I find women more attractive. I wouldn't consider myself as a lesbian because lesbians are only attracted to one sex whilst I'm attracted to two.

but what about people who are attracted to both men and women who class themselves as strictly homo and not bi.
and choose one over the other?

That's up to them. Sexuality is a lot to do with identifying yourself. If they choose to identify themselves as straight or lesbian, then that's their choice but it's not technically true.

so if a man says he's straight but has has sex with men. Is he straight or gay?

Well, he could be bisexual. And it would depend on whether he did that regularly or if he only did it once to see what it was like.

No, they're not gay. Rape is often not about sexuality, but it's about power - about having control over another human being. People in prison have every aspect of their life controlled, from what they eat, to what they wear, to what times they're allowed out of a cell. Many men will rape other men simply to gain some control over something in their life, and they won't care that they're men, but that doesn't mean that they're actually attracted to them.

In a situation like that, no, it doesn't make them gay. It's about power and domination, not about who they're attracted to.

If he's in a relationship with another man, then he's either gay or bisexual, so it could be gay, yes. But, in a relationship it's not truly about domination, it's more of a fake consensual domination. Prison rape is not consensual.

It depends on if he's only attracted to men. If he's also attracted to women, then no, he's bisexual. If he's only attracted to men, then yes, he's gay.

Because the likelihood is that prison rape is committed by straight men, who are aroused by the domination, not by the victim.

there's a big difference between just attractive and sexually attractive - as in makes you hard/wet at the site or thought of them.

I am sure Lesbian women can admit that a certain man is handsome or attractive, it doesn't mean they sexually desire him. It's all in the way you phrase things.

I think they can find men attractive.
I can say that a woman is attractive, but that doesn't mean that I'm sexually/romantically attracted to her.
Finding some of the same sex attractive is different than being attracted to them.

Ah alright, well there are many theories on sexuality and sexual triggers and in my opinion it's too complicated to pin down.

A lesbian could be attracted to a guy, but not attracted to masculine features, you see what I mean? It's not really about gender but apparent gender. Now if you consider how much really goes into attraction, more specifically sexual attraction you start to understand that it's not really as simple as boy or girl.

What if a hetero/homosexual person's sexual attraction is triggered by a combination of things but among the triggers is a distinctly potent trigger, say a biological trigger such as certain pheromones, (in which case attraction may not be apparent until two people are working closely together, perhaps for extended periods of time).
Changes in behaviour brought on by stress my change psychological triggers, but it's usually short term as a persons behaviour will almost always for the most part revert after the stress (the need) is removed.
So it all depends.

sexuality is a minefield, yes its a balance decision thing, you can be gay but find people of opposite sex attractive, just not enough. to tip it into wanting to date them.
