Why is everything about sex now?
Why?
Sure sex sells. But what happened to the time where your could listen to a lot of music without hearing a sexual reference, getting money from/for sex, getting high, or drunk? Why have so many people already had tons of partners by the time they graduate highschool?
What happened to when you could actually talk to little kids (11 years and less) without them making a sexual reference or cursing? (Yep. I've met them and I've seen them many times.)
Why is it so many teenage girls dress.. Well, like sluts?
Why do people seem to think being a player is "cool"?
Why is it many people don't take the responsibility of raising a child when they have unprotected sex, and instead get an abortion?
What happened to when people/kids were so innocent?
Why are so many little kids obsessed with having a boyfriend/girlfriend and even having sex? (I've met/seen them too.)
Why does nearly every movie have sexual references or actual sex?
Why is it, even in G/PG movies there are still sexual references?
Why do people ruin good movies, books, songs, etc. by adding excessive cursing/violence/sex and more?
What's happened to the world? It's all about sex, being the sexiest, looking sexy, talking sexy.. What the hell? Now a lot of people I've met are thinking they need to be sexy to have friends. It's just messed up..
Sure, sex makes people "feel good" but people are just too obsessed with it. A lot of the things people do is just so they can get laid.

That's just the way it is, money makes the world goes round, explain why there's so much greed and exploitation of what people can or will become obsessed over and wide spread corruption everywhere.

There's really no going back now because that's the way this world has become, you can't really control and stop the change of how things had currently become in relevance to sex. The world had been more hedonistic as well so that could be the other reason why, sex is a BIG part of Hedonism. Like you said people obsessed over about what makes them "feel good", in particularly feeling good physically.

There's always going to be controversial and controversies as they generate even more attention to them, and potentially help making more money for those that take advantage of those controversies. Like what you had said that there's seems to be an excess of violence/sex/cursing, and more controversial and questionable content, but they were really meant for adults in the first place that's why there are ratings for movies and/or video games. But if they secretly sneak content that is questionable into G and PG movies then it's probably has to do with hidden agendas and motives to make money or something.

It's all really just delusions, if people want sex and desire sex then it has value and it will continue to have value because it's simply just that: people just WANT sex.

If you don't care about it then it doesn't really matter or apply to you. In this world, if you are somebody that had never married and never had sex for a long amount of time, let's say you 30 or over and still single and never had sex or any relationships when others find out then the majority will look at you surprised, shock and think and judge you as if you are some total fucking weirdo creep, well for most part anyway.

Again, it's two things, greed, money profits whatever you want to call it are all linked and tied with it in terms of "value" something someone or something like companies that make and provide the products and services can take advantage of. And the last thing is always because it's all delusions and hedonism, people that are always hyping up about sex, hooking up getting laid, thinking it is really all that special, but that's just for them and from their own perception of sex. If it makes them feel good, then therefore they will think that sex has to be or must be good and therefore they WANT it.

I have a theory that might help to explain this modern transition you have mentioned. In the animal kingdom, the only two main objectives are survival and reproduction. Us humans are animals too. Although we have found other ways to entertain ourselves, survival and reproduction are still our main objectives.

In the wild, animals struggle to survive every day. They must fight other animals, hide from predators, find shelter from harmful weather conditions, find, store, and eat food, etc. Their only luxery is finding (a) mate (s), and producing offspring. However, in a world where your health and safety is constantly threatened, survival is much more important than reproduction. In other words, most of the time animals are too busy fighting for survival to indulge in sex.

This is how it used to be for us humans too. But now everything has changed. In first-world countries, food and shelter are ALWAYS available - even to the homeless because government systems help provide for them. Yeah, that hobo who lives in a box next to your local grocery store is still far better off than any given animal in the wild.

My point is, we don't have to focus on finding food and shelter like animals do. Instead, we can afford to direct our attention to other luxeries in life - the main one being sex.

To further confirm the plausibility of my theory, if you look at third-world countries, specifically the Middle East, they are much more sexually conservative than we are. Why? One reason could be that food is more scarce, and people are less fortunate. They have to work harder than we do, and dedicate more time to obtaining basic necessities. Again, they have less time in their day to stop and have sex with someone.

I totally know where you're coming from. I wonder this myself. My friends always talk about sex, and anything pertaining to it, how they "just wanna fuck" all the time. Though that's just their drive, I suppose.
But generally speaking, we live in a sex-crazed society. I agree with what you say, it's nice; but let's be real, there are plenty of other things in the world that are far more important or entertaining than getting laid. If anything, it has come to the point where we are dehumanizing people and objectifying them.
