Why do people say black girls look manly? What's manly about their face?

and I noticed that a lot of people voted the West African women had the most feminine looking face out of the other groups.

So from the question it said that was the average face from each group, and if one average a lot of people think she looks the most feminine, why are black women described as manly looking?

I think it's because African American women are in a country, the US, where outdated thinking and different preferences create this climate where typically black features are not appreciated because they are not more like typically white features. The US has a long history of racism, so, vs simply accepting this blatantly bigoted idea, it's good to look at where this idea comes from and who perpetuates it. And understand that beauty comes is every form :) And those old stereotypes are obs crazy :)

They don't that's the thing about opinions, every one pretty much has one and some people state theirs as facts. I've seen some of the most beautiful and feminine women who are of African/African American descent.

Maybe they're not all of west African descent? Africa is a big continent, and AA only tend to come from a relatively small section. Also, studies have shown that when a society is under stress (like slavery let's say) more masculine women are more successful reproductively.

Africa's a pretty big continent. May be the people who say black women are manly are talking about women from East Africa? The study did only use West African women, so maybe that was intentional because East African and North African women aren't as feminine. I know Egypt (part of Northwest Africa) are considered very feminine, so maybe they included some Egyptian heritage in the picture there

Rounded facial features are a feminine trait. It could be because black guys look more feminine, rather than the opposite.

Its sharp defined facial features that are masculine. Its why thin lips, long strong noses, and square jaw lines, and also large brow ridges are masculine features.

Its not rounded features that are masculine, those are feminine child like features.
