Sympathy is one of those emotions that are taught. .. how? By receiving it we learneed to show it. By not receiving it we heartless gorilas and robots with no emotion. Showing sympathy is how people learn to give it and showing empathy is how he will learn to give it to them in need

Sympathy and empathy are two different things. Sympathy is being able to understand someone's position, and feel something similar (or at least bad for them), whereas empathy is having been in the same place as the person and knowing exactly what they are going through. In many ways I will never be able to have exact empathy-- growing a beard, getting kicked in the balls, having to hide a hard on, I will never truly know. However, I can sympathize-- waiting for hair to grow out after a bad cut, mittelschmirz and cramps that are mistaken for appendicitis, having to hide an early period. Perhaps look at the difference between sympathy and empathy and then ask a more accurate question, so we can give better answers.

Guys don't support each other as girls do... if your sons in trouble he Isaid on his own... it's how the world treats males... if your a guy you don't have support you on your own

I can't answer that, seeing as I have no son or children at all, but I do talk to my brother if he approaches me wanting advice or help. I feel it would depend on the issue. What to get a girlfriend for a special day? Come on and ask. Breakup blues? I'll sit and pat your shoulder. Anxiety over... I don't know... Sex stuff... May be a bit weird to talk to a family member about. But general human problems, it's more societal norms of expecting a guy to not show heart over any unwillingness to listen.

You need to let the girls go first (people want chivalry and equality )

I do understand what you are saying there. I don't deny the unfairness of that. I can only say try to find a person who will treat you as you treat them, with just as much politeness and care, who you will never need to strike and who will stand up and believe you not to be a disappointment just for your sex, and who does consider you equal by virtue of you both being human. A tough bill, I know, but not everyone is so irrational.

Boys mothers are the worst... when he gets married she interferes in her sons marriage and causes arguments between him and his spouse. But she forgot what a gender disappointment he was to her when he was a baby. maybe his mother is justifying it and trying to make it up to him by ruining his marraige

I can proudly say that my parents wanted a boy in my generation... at least my parents wanted a boy. ... can't say the same about the K10 BOYS

My mother prayed for a son... she wanted a son when she had me I'm so thankful and glad I was wanted😊😀my mom is happy with her two boys... she later wanted a girl with my sister and got a girl... but at least I was wanted it feels great to be wanted😊💞💕💓

I am not currently in a place where I can afford to have children, much less want to have them, but seeing as there is enough misery in the world as it is, I would not act to bring more suffering on another-- girl, boy, or anything else.

In general, yes, modern women lack sympathy and empathy for males. It's the legacy of feminism and the disdain it breeds toward men, and the victim mentality it has created among women. It has improved slightly over the last 10 years as women have begun to recognize feminism for what it really is, but we still have a long way to go to repair the damage feminism has done.

Some do, but I know lots of girls who don't like the unfair things that guys have to deal with anymore than we do.

And there are plenty of selfish, self-centered guys who lack empathy for women's issues too.

It is your job to find a woman that you are compatible with. Many of them won't be, but that's just how it goes.
