Tasha Maile is a vlogger from San Diego who is a huge advocate of natural and homeopathic remedies. Her YouTube channel which is under ‘Spiritual Tasha Mama’ showcases videos of her embracing a vegan diet, breastfeeding her three boys and now she has also confessed to having sex with her husband while breastfeeding her baby. In the video, the now mother of three admits that she thinks it is okay to have sex while breastfeeding.

She said: ‘the baby is not judging you and thinking ‘my mum and dad are having sex.’’’

And many people are divided about this controversial opinion.

Tasha went on to say: ‘I just like to share my life with others. Being an adult about the conversation: the baby was sleeping while breastfeeding and again, being an adult, I think we all like sex. It’s totally fine.’
It was during an interview on a UK show known as ‘This Morning’ where Tasha defended her views.

‘Even if the baby is awake and off to the side … If the baby is OK, they’re not judging you. It’s not about being right or wrong. If you’re having sex in front of your children and it feels right then it feels right.’
And further controversy was sparked after a video emerged of her breastfeeding her three and five-year-old sons.

A viewer commented: ‘’I find this video very disturbing. She wants viewers to believe this is a natural mother and child bonding while breastfeeding.’

She continued: ‘breastfeeding is a natural, beautiful extension of the mother and child bonding. However, this woman’s exhibitionism certainly takes away from the wonderful bonding between mother and child.’
And despite the mounting criticism against Tasha, she still has many supporters. Madeleine Ellisman wrote: ‘that’s what I’ve always told my kids. Cows milk IS for calves and breastmilk is for humans! And good for her for nursing her kids till she and they are ready to wean. Her kids will be super healthy as will she.’

I Think its a disgusting thing to do, to breastfeed your baby while having sex.

it's not disgusting, depending on the age of the children. at some age it becomes inappropriate and potentially emotionally damaging but up to an age infants have no awareness of what they are seeing

but i just don't understand the practicality or reason for it. why not breastfeed before or after sex? it seems like there is simply no reason to do both at the same time

Let's say you're not shaking your baby, first off you just had this baby and you're doing things to make another one already. So so it's okay to have sex because he can't "judge" you but a 1 2 or 3 year old won't judge you ethier and later on won't even remember but you wouldn't have sex in front of them. Nothing wrong with it. The baby is unaware of what is happening and I can understand that having sex is difficult when you just got a baby. Also, I do support breastfeeding babies.
With the 5 and 3 year old, I mean I don't think it's very harmful. At least not physically and if she bonds better with them that way I think it's fine.

I don't think she did. Like I said, it's an unusual thing to do, but looking at it from an objective view, I don't think it's that harmful for her child. Babies barely have any memories or semantic knowledge of the world, so not only will they not remember it, they won't understand either what is happening.
I think people are letting their prejudices take the upperhand in forming their opinion, which I think can be very harmful.

yeah my boys 5 now but even when he was younger i couldnt do it infront of him just the though of it puts me off. im glad i didn't as its turned out he has a amazing memory and can memorize more than the average child which has put him forward a good few years in school. so i would of really regretted doing something like that anyway but in my own opinion. even if people would say it was right i would not its just me myself disagrees and souldnt do it

I actually don't see anything wrong with breast-feeding up to five, that's normal in many other cultures and has been normal for us up until modern times. Having sex while feeding though is very strange, young children (or should I say all children) shouldn't see their parents having sex.

Having sex while breastfeeding is kind of weird but a baby isn’t making memories yet so I don’t think it matters that much. The weird thing is breastfeeding her 3 and 5 year olds.
