Yep. 3 times. Happened in 8th grade. I dated this girl, I thought she was really into me, but she kept leaving me for other guys. After the third time I gave up and moved on. Met my wife in 9th grade, been with her 12 years, married for 6. Funny thing is I am still facebook friends with this girl and it makes me feel good seeing that I came out better because of her leaving me. Now she has extreme problems keeping guys and of course always blames them. One day I'm just going to post on her page, "It's probably YOU!"

My girlfriend and I have broken up twice (and we are not currently together) I would love to be back with her, this is the longest we've ever been apart and I really feel that if we got back together once more we could make it work. Being apart for a while can sometimes really show you how you feel about a person, but at the end of the day, if you both want to be with each other then do it, if either of you have doubts, perhaps think about it..
You shouldn't rely on other couples to see what will happen in yours. You guys are obviously two different people than all of the couples you know. Each relationship is different. I think that if two people really care about each other and want to make things work and are willing to make changes the third time around so it won't be like the last two times then I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Sometimes relationships take longer and go through more break ups than others before things finally work out.

It usually isn't. I was on-again-off-again with a girl for a full year. Eventually, we just stayed apart. I would have to say: no.
