I get not belittling others over weight needlessly, nor discriminating based on weight. But this... this goes too far. I'm a bit on the heavy side myself; but I don't go around encouraging it.
I'm not saying every overweight person encourages it but there is a lot of toxicity in the fat positivity community (body positivity aside). They get sensitive bout people being fat phobic too
Not all of it is fear though. Sometimes, it's just some are childish, and use it to attack someone because of lack of an argument of substance about something unrelated. That's what concerns me more. Believe me, I get attacked like that all the time on Facebook, usually by NPCs who are incapable of having a more intelligent argument about anything. I point out a time Fauci contradicted himself, and they immediately yell "incel" and "fatso" at me. It's pretty pathetic.
I think it's important to love yourself (not in a conceited way). And what better way to do that than to take care of your body and health?

I'm all for people loving themselves. That being said I'm not a fan of trying to force the belief that being overweight as normal. It's unhealthy. Most would agree that cigarette ads portraying it as glamorous and harmless are bad so why promote an idea that diabetes and heart disease are nothing to worry about.
I agree with your worries. But I think people have more of a chance to change behavior from positivity than negativity. So letās stop body shaming and create more avenues for better health. Like bringing veggies into more neighborhoods. Youād be surprised how many zip codes donāt have a produce dept.
Itās very stupid. Just remember leaders of industry, of the world, etc... donāt vaccinate their children, they eat healthy, organic, natural foods, are in good shape, they have non allopathic doctors. If we are told to accept fat positivity then the best reply is to kindly reject them. Reject them to the point that it creates a new national protest against people rejecting them. Iāve had overweight and obese family. They expected nothing more than the finest foods and were never happy. The weight essentially killed them and Iāll never date or marry someone obese because Iām afraid for their health. Government subsidiaries need to be removed from synthetic and non organic foods. Thereās no reason why healthier foods are more expensive than a pack of twinkies. Cancer loves sugar and hates oxygen. Any doctors who promote alternative views are baselessly judged as quacks.
I don't really see the point in worrying about someone who wants to be fat or finds food addiction a good thing. Don't really effect anyone but themselves and if they don't want to change that's not my problem. So i kinda just don't care tbh.
I wouldnāt be opposed to except for the fact that many of them then it into a crusade. They constantly skinny shame those who are thin. I canāt tell you how many times Iāve been told āreal men donāt want bonesā āreal men want curvesā etc etc. while completely disregarding the fact that I have an hourglass figure, Iām just very thin. I would never dream of body shaming them, so I would like to ask the same in return.
If body positivity is a thing I demand there to be a smoking positivity aswell!!!

I totally agree with you. It's weird because you would think as a black man I wouldn't agree. But, I like my ladies fit and healthy. I hate it heavy girls hit on me and say, you know you like it. 😷. My girlfriend is small. But, she is fit. We work out together. And have a very healthy diet.
I think the deeper underlying message we need to understand, all this has to do with āhealth positivityā.
Never sacrifice your overall health for an external image. But also donāt sacrifice your overall health for unhealthy foods.

I dont usually shame anyone for their body. But tbh, I feel some fat (thick) people have unhealthy lifestyle and they feel personally attacked when they are presented with truth.
Being fit boosts the confidence and fit peoole will never acknowledge others' opinions. But thick people lack this confidence and use this fat positivity as an excuse.
I think being happy with yourself is important.
However, spreading that bullshit that being obese doesn't cause any health issues given that it's one of the leading causes of death is ridiculous.

Your 💯 accurate , i myself was obese and lost weight and i think your 💯 true, when i was fat i would always look for excuses and ways out of confronting the fact that I'm fat- if you have supporting the fact your fat it encourages you to get fatter

I liken it to the trans thing. I agree people shouldn't be bullied. I agree people should still have the same rights. But I can't be attracted to it, nor can I pretend to.
Why do people dont understand the meaning of this movements. I still see idiots here who fatshame and then wonder why body positivity exists. I think it's great. People come in all different shapes and sizes as they should be. I draw the line at immobility.
Yeah there is the positive in that, especially with plus size models, we as a society are branching out more in regards to what is considered beautiful. Beauty is subjective and you shouldn't have to be a size 2 to be beautiful
I hate it too. It's just an excuse and it promotes unhealthy lifestyles and makes woman look nasty. Also if the women continue to eat junk food and continue the lifestyle, it will make giving her oral in bed impossible! Due to all these fat folds and then the bitter acidy taste, ew. Women should be nice and skinny/regular precious human beings.
