In reality, bullies actually become more successful earlier most of the times right?

I've seen enough fake movies where the bully becomes a loser and bum and their victims either famous celebrities or professionals.

They give people false hope. That can happen once in a while but that's just not how it plays out in real life. This is what really happens:

Even though the former superintendent quitted from his job, up to that moment he was successful while his bullied victim never made it on the top. The victim was traumatized for life and is just a normal worker struggling in life. Another example is former president Donald Trump. I read he used to be a school bully too.

I used to get socially bullied in middle school and none of those people turned out to be losers. They either have their own businesses, have kids or good jobs. I just started a small online bakery business not so long ago. In addition, my social skills is improving a bit. The constant bullyings delayed my development but I'm working towards improvement.

Though bullies may force their way to the top, they rarely stay there if they remain bullies. I'm not saying people can't change, but never assume the way to success is to be a bully. Bullies only care about themselves, and the only people supporting self-serving people tend to be other self-serving people. Self-serving people use the actions of other self-serving people to legitimize their own dysfunctional choices. Trump and Hitler didn't create the mood in their countries... they just gave people permission to believe they were better and more entitled than others. It's hard for self-serving people to accomplish much, as it takes a team effort for long-term positive change to exist.

How do school bullies determine who to pick on? Most people assume it is the weakest. That isn't true. They're not picking on the quadriplegic, they're picking on those who are most entertaining. If they can push your buttons and watch you sing and dance, that gives them power... so they continue the pattern. If they push your buttons and you don't respond, they'll try again. They may even try it a 3rd time, but they won't continue the pattern if it doesn't get them what they seek. Don't give bullies power or encourage people to believe the key to success is to be a bully.

A lot of school administrators (not all) either were bullied as children or were bullies themselves. Some of the same administrators who will refuse to do a investigation and suspend students for defending themselves have sketchy histories of being a bully when they were in school.
