It's my guy friend and it's the second time he's asked about my boyfriend, so it's led me to be suspicious of why he's wondering about him and the relationship.

He was asking me how was my boyfriend and I told him we are not doing so good and he asked if I might break up with him or work things out. That's why I am suspicious but both times he asked similar questions.

maybe he is just being a friend, and doesn't think they guy is good for you. Or maybe he's trying to be more than friends and thinks he's better suited for you than your boyfriend. Or he's just trying to make conversation
